Win a $250 Museum Shop voucher and Kspace merchandise
1. Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these competition terms and conditions. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions and any entry not complying with these terms and conditions is invalid.
2. The promoter is the National Museum of Australia, ABN 70 592 297 967, Lawson Crescent, Acton Peninsula, Canberra ACT 2601, phone: 1800 026 132, email: information@nma.gov.au.
3. The competition commences at 10:00 (Australian Eastern Standard Time, or AEST) on Friday 24 June 2016 and closes 17:00 AEST on Sunday 24 July 2016 (‘the Competition Period’). Entries posted after 17:00 AEST on 24 July 2016 will not be accepted.
4. Entry to the competition is free (excluding internet, mobile device charges or similar) and is open to Australian residents. Employees (and their immediate families) of the promoter and their related companies or agencies are ineligible to enter. Children under the age of 13 should seek their parent’s permission to enter. Parents may enter the competition on behalf of their child.
5. To enter the competition, eligible participants must submit their entry as follows:
1. Download the Kspace Augmented Reality (AR) Trail app from the Apple Store or Google Play
2. Print the AR markers
3. Use the app to place one of the Kspace characters in a creative location. Take a screenshot using your device, or have someone else take your photo or video.
4. Upload your entry as a comment to the Museum’s Facebook Page. The competition post will be pinned to the top of the page.
6. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Museum staff will select a maximum of ten entries as finalists for presentation to the panel judges (also comprising Museum staff) who will select one winner. The selection of the finalists and winner will be based on imaginative and creative merit.
7. The promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.
8. Each entrant warrants to the promoter that the entry submitted is original and does not infringe the rights of any third party, including but not limited to those governing copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, or privacy.
9. Entrants agree that by submitting their entry they:
a. have expressly received the consent of any individual(s) appearing in the submitted entries;
b. consent to their name and their submitted entry being posted to the National Museum of Australia’s Facebook page;
c. grant the promoter and its licensees and assignees a permanent, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish the submitted entry on any website or in any other publication (whether in a digital or hard copy format) or any social media webpage controlled by the promoter but without there being any obligation on the promoter to do so;
d. consent to the promoter or its nominees adapting, altering, modifying or editing the submitted entry to make it suitable for publication, communication, broadcast or transmission.
10. The winner will be contacted by the promoter via Facebook private message to obtain their postal address. The winner will also be announced on the promoter’s Facebook page.
11. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated, with Facebook. By entering and participating, entrants agree to hold harmless, defend and indemnify Facebook from and against any and all claims, demands, liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), losses, costs or expenses, with respect to or arising out of or related to (i) the entrant’s participation in the competition or (ii) the entrant’s participation in any prize related activities, acceptance of a prize and/or use or misuse of a prize (including, without limitation, any property loss, damage, personal injury or death caused to any person(s).
12. The promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify and remove from Facebook any entry which, in the opinion of promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory content or statements. The promoter may also disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these competition terms and conditions or who has, in the opinion of the promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the competition which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the competition and/or the promoter. The promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if the promoter becomes aware that a winner and/or a winner’s entry is of a type described in this clause.
13. Entrants may submit as many entries as they want. The promoter may request winners to provide proof of age, identity, or residency for the purposes of awarding the prize.
14. In the event the prizewinner does not provide their postal address to the promoter within seven (7) days of being contacted, or otherwise declines the prize, they will forfeit the prize. The promoter may determine, in its absolute discretion, whether to award the prize to another entrant.
15. Prize details:
The winner will receive:
- One (1) voucher valued at $250 which can be used at the Museum Shop (either onsite or online). The voucher will remain valid for one (1) year.
- A selection of Kspace merchandise valued at approximately $30.
16. Total prize value is GST inclusive and in Australian dollars, is the retail value and is correct at time of printing. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. The prizes are not redeemable for cash.
17. The promoter and prize suppliers, their related bodies corporate, affiliates, officers, agents and employees shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
18. The promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the competition. The winner’s name will be published as outlined in these terms and conditions. By entering the competition, entrants consent to the promoter collecting, using and disclosing such personal information in accordance with these terms and conditions, our Privacy policy and as permitted or required by law.
19. If this competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the control of the promoter, including but not limited to technical or supplier difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the promoter reserves the right, to the extent permitted by law, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the competition.
