I, A Man’s debut album Gravity Wins Again is out today (April 11th) via We Swimmers.
Taking in elements of droning folk, swirling krautrock, 90s post rock and guitar bands and employing a classic sense of songcraft, Gravity Wins Again expands on I, A Man’s hypnotic and expansive take on indie rock.
The debut album was predominately written in rural Victoria, recorded in Melbourne at The Alamo with Tim O’Halloran and David Williamson, then mixed in Sydney by Tim Whitten (Augie March, Art of Fighting, The Go Betweens) and mastered in Phoenix, Arizona by Roger Seibel.

Very reflective for a debut album, Gravity Wins Again looks at the idea that everything you know, is that you know nothing at all and in order to grab ahold you need to let go….
“These Melbourne alt-rockers channel some of the dreamier aromas of Radiohead in their lush singles ‘Less Travelled’ and ‘In Time’, which presage their debut LP – set for April. Mixing Thom Yorke-flavoured pop vocals with the shuffling beats of the Oxford five-pieces later works, the music ultimately boils down to soft, pink and pensive swirls full of warm, rainy guitars.”
