Cebu Pacific Beach Bum Academy 2016 Mechanics
ELIGIBILITY
The Cebu Pacific Beach Bum Academy promotion is open to Australian residents, aged 18-24 years old.
Relatives of employees (up to second degree of consanguinity) of Cebu Pacific Air, organizers, agencies, sponsors and other partners are not qualified to join the contest.
Applicants and their submitted companions must be willing to travel from February 5 to 11, 2016.
Applicants and their submitted companions must be willing to take part in Cebu Pacific’s commercials and advertisements.
HOW TO JOIN
To join the contest, applicants must fill up the required fields in the Cebu Pacific Beach Bum Academy registration form via www.cebupacificbeachbums.com
The registration form must come with a photo showing the applicant and his or her companion. The format of the submitted photo must be in JPG, with a minimum 1MB size.
He or she must also prepare, submit a video and paste the YouTube or Vimeo URL in the field provided in the registration form.
The video must answer the questions:
Which Beach Bum Academy course do you think you’ll excel in?Do you think you will be an honor student? Why?The video must feature you and your designated companion, and showcase your fun personalities.
It must be 30-60 seconds in length.
Submission of entries is open from 12:01am of October 7, 2016 to 11:59pm of November 20, 2016. This is based on Sydney time or GMT +10.
In the case of multiple entries from the same applicant, only the first entry will be considered.
Applicants and their submitted companions must be willing to take part in Cebu Pacific’s commercials and advertisements.
DETERMINATION OF WINNERS
Winners will be determined based on their complete entries and their audition videos, which will be judged as follows:

Did you showcase your unique personality? Are you fun-loving, adventurous and dynamic just like Cebu Pacific? Will you be a fitting ambassador of Philippine tourism?Answer to the Question (40%)
How well did you answer the audition question? What do your answers tell us about you and your companion?Cebu Pacific Air officials will screen all entries to determine the qualified entries. From the pool of qualified entries, screening judges will determine a total of fifteen (15) finalists from which the winner will be chosen. The screening will be held from November 21, 2016 to November 23, 2016 at the Cebu Pacific Airline Operations Center, Manila, Philippines.
The final three (3) Winners will be announced on November 25, 2016 at 12nn (Sydney time or GMT +10).
All announcements will be made online at www.cebupacificbeachbums.com, www. facebook.com/CebuPacificAir, www.twitter.com/CebuPacificAir. Winners will also be notified through phone call and email.
PRIZE
Three (3) Winners with one (1) companion each will go on an all-expenses paid trip to the Philippines from February 5, 2016 to February 11, 2016.
Cebu Pacific will provide the following flights, 20 kilos baggage allowance, country taxes, terminal fees, seat selection, meals (for international sectors) and Travelsure insurance:
Roundtrip flights between Sydney and Manila
Roundtrip flights to Cebu and Siargao
If the Winner is based outside New South Wales, Cebu Pacific will only provide intra-Australia flights that best connect to Cebu Pacific’s Sydney-Manila flight schedule, using a low-cost carrier operating the route. Other expenses that may be incurred while in Australia are on the winners and their companions’ expense.
Cebu Pacific and its partners will provide hotel accommodations on twin-sharing basis, meals, transfers and tours, from February 5, 2016 to February 11, 2016.
Cebu Pacific and its partners will arrange for activities that will follow the courses indicated in the Cebu Pacific Beach Bums’ website.
Cebu Pacific will also provide a production team of photographers and videographers who will document the trip, for Cebu Pacific’s marketing use.
Winners and their companions will travel as one group.
Companions nominated during the registration process must be the companion who will travel during the trip.
Prizes are non-transferable and non-convertible to cash. Once tickets, accommodations and tours are finalized, penalties may apply for any changes in bookings.
Winners will be asked to document their trip and posting on social media, which may be used by Cebu Pacific for marketing purposes.
Cebu Pacific shall choose an alternate winner from the pool of remaining eligible entries in accordance with the criteria, if the winner has not confirmed receipt of Cebu Pacific or its agencies’ phone calls and emails within seven (7) days from notification.
DISCLAIMER
Participants shall agree that they are fully and wholly responsible for the entry/entries that they submitted to Cebu Pacific Air. Cebu Pacific Air shall not be held liable in any way for any entries to the full extent permitted by law. Cebu Pacific Air may remove any entry without notice for any reason whatsoever. Participants warrant and agree that:
They will not submit any entry that is unlawful or fraudulent, or that is in breach of any intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights, defamatory, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, sexually inappropriate, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, objectionable with respect to race, religion, origin or gender, not suitable for children aged under 15, or otherwise unsuitable for publication;
They will obtain prior consent from any person or property that appears in their entry;
They will obtain full prior consent from any person who has jointly created or has any rights in the entry, to the uses and terms herein;
Their entry shall not contain viruses or cause injury or harm to any person or entity; and
They will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, those governing copyright, content, defamation, privacy, publicity and the access or use of others' computer or communication systems.
Any cost incurred during the contest period that is not associated with the contest is the participant's responsibility.
Cebu Pacific Air reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of the entries and applicants (including the identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entry that is not in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
Additional documents including birth certificates, identification cards, medical clearance, and waiver forms may be required of the Winners and their companions. Interviews may also be conducted via phone or video calls. Failure to comply with requirements on the specified deadline may merit disqualification.
All applications (including any video footage submitted by the applicants) and footage from the trip to the Philippines become the sole property of Cebu Pacific Air. Cebu Pacific reserves the absolute rights to use said photo and video footage in any and all media, in perpetuity with no obligation or compensation to the applicants, winners and their companions.
Applicants allow Cebu Pacific Air to collect personal information in order to conduct the promotion, and include their email addresses in the Cebu Pacific’s mailing list.
All applicants must be in good physical condition and mental health and must be aware that, and sign releases attesting that, the activities in the challenge may involve risks and hazards, and that participating in the challenge may expose them to these risks. Winners and their companions must accept and assume all risks, which arise in any way from their participation in this challenge, and will not hold Cebu Pacific, its Organizers, and Sponsors responsible.
By submitting an application, each applicant agrees to release, discharge, and hold harmless Cebu Pacific Air, its Organizers, and Sponsors from all claims and damages arising out of his/her participation in the application process or the Challenge itself, and to have his or her name, voice and likeness used at the discretion of Cebu Pacific and its Organizers as part of promotions for the Challenge, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised.
Cebu Pacific shall have the right to announce/ publish/ broadcast the names of the Winners and to publish or post advertisements showing the Winners and their companions under this Promotion without need to give additional compensation.
By participating in this Promotion, the Winners and their Companions agrees to be subject to these Terms and Conditions. In case of conflict in relation to the contest, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
