1) No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. 2) Eligibility: The contest is open to people worldwide who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees of Free & Easy Traveler Inc., Detours Travel Inc., the Epic Travels Inc. Group and other companies associated with the promotion of the Sweepstakes and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising and promotion agencies as well as the immediate family (spouse, parent, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. 3) Sponsor: The Sweepstakes is sponsored by Detours Travel Inc., located at PO Box 63038, Calgary, Alberta, T2N4S5, Canada. 4) Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes entrants full and unconditional agreement and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein. 5) Sweepstakes Period: The Sweepstakes will begin on January 1st, 2017 at 12:00pm (MST) and will end on January 31st, 2017 at 11:59pm (MST). Entries that are submitted before or after the sweepstakes period will be disqualified. Submissions will be accepted for the duration of the contest online at https://www.detourstravel.com/giveaway 6) How to Enter: Entry will be available online by visiting the following url: https://www.detourstravel.com/giveaway 7) Selecting the Winner: On January 31st, 2017 at 11:59pm (MST) they will close the contest and select a potential winner in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received. Detours Travel Inc. will attempt to notify the winner by email within 24 hours of contest closing. 8) Prizes: Grand Prize - Winner will choose 1 (one) land package option, either 12 days in Greece (listed price of $2,170 USD), 12 days in Thailand (listed price of $2,120 USD), 15 days in Thailand (listed price of $2,460 USD), 12 days in Costa Rica (listed price of $1,920 USD), 8 days in Peru (listed price of $2,190 USD), 12 days in Peru (listed price of $2,490 USD), or 12 days in Spain (listed price of $2,360 USD). Secondary prizes (3) - Each secondary winner will receive 1 (one) discount code valid for $500 USD discount off any Detours trip (value of $500.00 USD). 9) General Conditions: The winner must use their trip package within 12 months from the date of winner selection. If the prize is not claimed within 12 months, additional fees may apply. The entire prize is transferable but can not be shared with more than one individual. The value of the prize is listed in United States dollars. If chosen dates are "high season" dates, winner is responsible for difference in cost. 10) Release of Limitations of Liability: By participating in the Sweepstakes, the entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies or other companies associated with the Sweepstakes, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders and representatives from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes including but not limited to: a) any technical errors associated with the Sweepstakes including lost, interrupted or unavailable ISP, network, server, wireless service provider, or other connections difficulties or failures. b) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes, c) mechanical, network, electronic, computer, human, printing or typographical errors. d) application downloads, e) any other errors that may occur in the administration of the sweepstakes, including the selection of the winner. f) injury, death, losses or damages of any kind to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrants participation in the Sweepstakes. The entrant also agrees that in any cause of action all legal fees will be incurred by the entrant. Entrants waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct or indirect damages. 11) Disputes: All disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the Province of Alberta. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrants rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of Alberta, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the Province of Alberta. 12) Privacy: Information collected from entrants will not be shared with any other organization outside of Free & Easy Traveler, Detours Travel Inc. and other companies in the Epic Travels Group of Companies.
