WHO CAN ENTER?Participation in the Competition is free with no purchase required. It is open to all natural persons over the age of 21 years on the date of entry, and residing in Australia.
The employees and representatives of the Organising Company, and all persons involved in the organisation and implementation of the Competition, as well as their family members, are not permitted to enter the Competition.

All Contestants must have an internet connection, their own e-mail address and their own blog or website.
All expenses related to the internet connection required to enter the Competition are to be borne by the Contestant.
Participation in the Competition is strictly personal and limited, for the entire duration of the Competition, to a single entry per person and per household (same name, same e-mail and/or IP address and/or the same email account). Contestants are therefore forbidden from entering using aliases, with different accounts or on behalf of other persons.
PROMOTIONAL PERIOD:
Competition dates are from 13 April 2016 to 15 June 2016.
HOW TO ENTER:
To enter, Contestants must have a blog, being a personal internet journal, web page or social media facility accessible publicly via the internet, whether hosted on the Contestant’s own site or through a third party (for instance, Blogger.com). The Contestant must, between 13 April 2016 and 15 June 2016, upload on his or her blog an article (hereinafter the “Blog Post”) that must meet the following characteristics:
- The article is entitled "I want to tell #TalesOnRail with Rail Europe" and must demonstrate the desire of the blogger to travel and win a Trip to Europe with the Organising Company.
- The candidate needs to answer the following question: In what way can this trip in Europe help you in completing your project?To answer this question, the Contestant has three options:
o 1 – If the Contestant project is a video project: The Blog Post must contain a video that is at least one minute long explaining why he or she wants to compete including why this Trip would inspire him or her to work on his or her video project.
o 2 – If the Contestant project is a writing project: The Blog Post must contain at least 300 words explaining why they want to compete including why this Trip would inspire him or her to work on his or her writing project.
o 3 – If the Contestant project is a photographic project: The Blog Post must contain at least 200 words explaining why they want to compete including why this Trip would inspire him or her to work on his or her photographic project.
In addition to the Blog Post, the Contestant must fill in a form on a dedicated Page about the Competition on the Website of the Organising Company (hereinafter the “Dedicated Page”) prior to 15 June 2016. The URL of this Dedicated Page is: www.raileurope.com/talesonrail. By filling the form, the Contestant indicates the existence of his or her Blog Post, his or her participation, and agrees to these term and conditions. Only registered Contestants will be eligible to take part in the Competition.
All incomplete entries, including those of potential Contestants who did not register beforehand, as well as any entries that are inaccurate, falsified, misleading, non-compliant with the Rules or received before and/or after the Competition Dates will be deemed null and void and will result in the elimination of the Contestant. Entries submitted by other means that through a Blog Post will also be rejected.
PRIZE:
PRIZE AWARDED (HEREINAFTER THE "PRIZE")
The Prize consists of a weeklong train Trip through France and Switzerland in September 2016 (the itinerary is chosen by the Organising Company). The total amount for the Prize would not exceed 6000 euros and will include the following:
- Transportation from the Winner’s home to the airport
- Airfare in second class to the first destination on the itinerary
- Accommodations in each city along the itinerary
- Train travel in first class between each city

- A daily stipend for meals
- Activities organised along the Trip (at the discretion of the Organising Company)
The itinerary would be the following but can be modified for any reason whatsoever, by the Organising Company (UPDATE AS OF 3 MAY 2016: TRIP WILL NOW TAKE PLACE IN SEPTEMBER 2016 WITH A SIMILAR SCHEDULE AS SHOWN BELOW)
1. Saturday: Winners fly to Paris and spend the night there.
2. Sunday: A day in Paris “as the locals do” – breakfast at a café, tour of the city, lunch in a trendy neighborhood,
etc. Night in Paris.
3. Monday: Morning train from Paris to Lyon. Lunch in Lyon followed by some activities. Early evening train from
Lyon to Avignon. Night in Avignon.
4. Tuesday: A day in Avignon with breakfast, lunch, and an activity. Early evening train from Avignon to Geneva
and train from Geneva to Montreux. Night in Montreux.
5. Wednesday: Chocolate Train tour in Montreux. Night in Montreux.
6. Thursday: Golden Pass Line from Montreux to Lucerne. Night in Lucerne.
7. Friday: Morning cable car ride up with lunch on mountaintop. Afternoon train from Lucerne to Zurich to catch
flights at Zurich Airport.
