how are people to know if they won ,there are a lot of people waiting to see if they won the spotlight comp which was supposed to be announced 17/5/13 ,we have not heard and have nothing on better homes page stating who the winners are and get no response to comments or messages NOT HAPPY
I've been comping for about 12 months, i've won a few things, $1000,surfboard,dvd's,books,gopro camera,itunes cards,movie tix,sunglasses,headphones, but the biggest and best, a family holiday to Disneyland.
The only prize have have won is a free photo sitting by guessing how much the photo value was never won anything else though and I enter a lot of compititions
I have been entering competitions for 6 months now and am totally addicted! I usually spend an hour entering comps each night! So far I have won $100 Pumpkin Patch Voucher, $100 Trade secret voucher, Trip for 4 to Las Vegas, Backpacks, lots of make up and movie vouchers, $180 pair of boot, $170 voucher at sneaking duck, yoga mat, personalised lunch set,$500 liberal arts pack, museum tickets, hair straightener. I enter a lot and seem to win often. I am wondering if there is such thing as CA (competitions anonymous)..... as I may need to join! Unfortunately my friends don't want to hear about my wins anymore (except the two who I took to vegas with me!)

After constant entering for over a month, I finally won something! I won a $25 skin care pack from MOR. Only a small win, but motivates me to keep going!
what do you suggest when you receive an email saying that you have won and they will send the prize out, but you dont receive. I have sent several emails to various contacts on the website (have also replied to the email they sent) without success...any suggestions? has this happened to others?
I went through a flurry of entering comps last week. I spent two days entering competitions (50 words or less). A parcel arrived today that was completely unexpected...I won one!! I also just checked my email to discover that I have won a book as well, so that was a lovely surprise. Keep at it and when you least expect it, you'll win!
I can't believe my luck. I am on this site almost daily and love entering the comps. I was surprised yesterday to recieve an e-mail saying that I'd won the guessing game! Wow I checked it twice and saw it was authentic. I won a radio Comp and Got the BIGGEST basket of EASTER EGGS,and could not believe that it was so big.I knew we could not eat them,and I and My Grand daughter Renee 4 took them to the Repite where both Grand Parents were in there resting after hospital treatment,we took the Biggest Basket and Gave to all the people in each part of the Repsite and they said Thank YOU and Lots of laughter and smiles that day.My Mother was a Diabetic but we let her have 1 egg (Big they were),was nice to see Renee smiling,and we came back home and it gave me and Renee a SMile for days as to how Happy The People were on Easter Sunday.I won them on the Alan Jones Radio Show in Sydney....................Maeve...........Winner's Really are Grinner's
I use to be very lucky winning competitions advertised in magazines. I also won a competition through Dendy once, which was online. Then out of the blue I won a ipad bag from a really upmarket bag company. Yes, that was through this site. Now I am hoping to win an Ipad!! So, yes, people do win using this site. Good luck everyone
I've won a lot of competitions over the years but I have never won anything through competition sites. It must be because there are many more 'serious' competition people using the sites. Might have to try and find them elsewhere if you're not winning?
I used to have so much luck when I was younger winning mini competitions, however haven't had much luck the last few years. Only way to win is to be in it! Got to keep trying and maybe my luck will turn around!

Hi All,i did win a free family holiday for a week to Byron Bay, flights, transfers and accom. about 8 years ago, from one entry on a soft drink bottle. So luck can strike. Hope it strikes again soon as i have just joined this site.
i joined about a month ago, so far i won 2 gym bottles, 2 Backpacks, (same comp.) $50 cash and a $500 voucher for a photoshoot (which i wont use as the albums start from $2000 and portraits from $1500), so there no point going for a photoshoot where u have nothing to show for and cant afford the extra cash but hey its a start, hope it keeps comin

I only enter the comps that I want to win. Eg I won a laptop through the HP website (25 words or less) in April 2010 and a long time between drinks but I won 12 mth of free mobile access through Network communications (random winner) in Jan 2013. Just gotta persist and put entries in.
I haven't won that much. I honestly enter every reasonable comp and focus on 25WOL but never seem to quite get it right. I am always in 2 minds as to whether they want, a bit left-field and funny or something serious to sell a product. Either way, havent hit the jackpot yet!

I have won a few small comps. i usually enter anything that appeals or is useful to me. i dont worry about things that i cant or wont use that gives others a chance that may use them. then i forget i have entered them. persistance is the key. if you're not in it then you will never have a chance to win it. simple as that.
Since starting in September I've won $10,000 or thereabouts worth of prizes, mainly Blu rays and games but also a guitar, concert tickets, signed merchandise and more; it's got to the point that if I didn't have at least one win a week I would probably have a breakdown.
Won a double in-season pass to Hanzel and Gretel yesterday! I also won 5,000 dollars worth of holiday vouchers back in June (went on the holiday in November) and I won that with Universal Pictures and Creative Holidays. Both comps were 25 words or less. xx
We won a gift card from Appletiser thanks to the posting on this site. Huge surprise and just in time to pay some bills. Though my son says you just got back what you put in in purchases to enter these comps. Probably right but how are you going to know what it feels like to win if you never enter.
I received a phone call to say that I had been selected to receive some gardening cards. But then I was told that after despatch of the parcel I would be billed $6.95 postage & packing and was asked if that was okay! I turned down the offer..........

I won a shopping voucher some years back and with this purchased a pair of running spike shoes. I used these running spikes to go to the State Championships for three years in a row while at junior high school - and that was without any coaching.

I haven't won any 'real' prizes yet through this website. But my name was drawn for a Wyndham Timeshare Vacation where they give you $1000 awards to spend towards accommodation + $50 Coles Voucher. There's a catch though, you have to turn up at a 90 min presentation so they can convince you to buy a timeshare. Also, you can't use your whole $1000 in one hit off accomm (1 place I looked at offered $400-500 awards discount and then you had to pay the balance). I think I will pass!
I think it is merely a person's luck on the day. Years ago I won an all expensives paid trip and when I was in the hotel I filled out another competition and won that too! I haven't won any real prizes since.

Won my girlfriend a bbq about a onth ago (i enter comps in her name and forget to tell her about it!) And last week won us a weekend in Melbourne all expenses paid and 2 VIP tickets to the new Cirque De Soleil show! Winning competitions isn't about "life" being kind to you or what sort of person you are, it's about putting an entry in! You've got to be in it to win it!!

Used to do those competitions in that's life magazine and won scrap book making instruction books and a $4 phone card from take 5 magazine which i ended up leaving in a public phone after use it, just forgot to take it out. Many years ago my mum and i played lotto and we got 5 numbers up, before that win 5 numbers was paying over $1000 in prize money so we were both pretty excited with our win but when i went to collect the winnings, it just paid $180, bummer but still was nice to win it. And when the instant scratchies first came out i won $50. Also bought instant ticket for my sister's birthday but i ended up scratch it and it won $25. When i was a kid always entered competitions and won albums, books and colour textas which are still working today, i won those texta's when i was a teenager. Now i'd like to win something at competitions.com.au, that sure would be nice to do. Cheers!!!

After a purchase of kid's Bond's singlets, I entered a competition and was surprised to receive a call a few months later advising me that I had won $1000. However I have not been fortunate for a number of years so fingers crossed lady luck crosses my path again soon.
I've won a few things lately; tickets to the Hopman Cup, Rooftop Cinema + diamond ring. Besides the ring, the tickets were won from small newspapers/websites where few people enter. The ring was pretty much just luck (though I did enter every day the comp. was open).
