It happens all the time unfortunately!

I've given up doing the surveys. It's simply not worth the time and effort. You fill out a lot of questions and waste time only to find you have been screened out - then it takes a month of Sundays to have the privilege of gaining a pittance.

just did three surveys each about 15-20mins long, got to the end and no points rewarded at all!! what a waste of my time!!

How wonderful - you've actually won something. I've been entering competitions here for years and not even a tram ticket! :-) The only reward I have is an email account with 500 spam message daily.

Can someone tell me about the Tax angle if one should ever be in a position to win an overseas holiday. I am an old-age pensioner - so a tax bill would mean I'd probably have to sell the house.

We're still keeping it on, but there will be a 2 week delay.. PayPal processing can be all too time consuming and an accounting nightmare and hard on fees esp with NZD (We're in NZ also).

I've seen some of these surveys before so I doubt I will be eligible again and I don't know how the third parties involved will use this information so I don't access this site much.
A lot of hard work for points and I'm normally time poor. (Personal opinion only).

If you're screened out right away it could be a number of things including the quota for the survey being full. Surveys need X participants and if they are met they will close the survey off. It's important to attempt the surveys as they are sent when possible.

They must close them before they send out the email asking you to participate! That's all I can say.

Yes! Don't you just hate it when you've waited 5 minutes for a survey to open up, then answered about 25 questions only to be told that you are screened out or the quota's been filled? This morning I had 5 surveys in my box. I didn't qualify for any of them but managed to waste over half an hour on them. Really, saving up a trickle of points for over 9 months or so for the possibility of getting $20 is just not worth it!

I love (not) the survey that ask if you about your Business Role - starting from CEO or CFO down to Managing Director or ones that ask your Household Income starting at $150,000. Do the survey companies really think these types of people have time or inclination to do survey to make a living? Ha

I also nearly missed a trip I had won and the guy ended up contacting my parents (as my number is silent) and rang me.
It turned out to be the best trip ever! So glad he persevered.
Now I try to be extra vigilant scrolling through my endless e-mails. Probably have missed out on others that I didn't know about.

I dislike how some comps only require your e-mail. I think I'd rather be rung up and congratulated over the phone :)

I have two email addresses: one personal; one only for comps. Every few days I do a search on Keywords like congrats; congratulations; winner to see if there is something I have won that I need to respond to.

That's a great idea!

I usually do that though a lot of spam e-mails I have noticed start with "Congratulations" to hook you in believing that you have won something when you have not, just for you to send back your details...lol

I just had 2 that were for 150 then. Both times i got 5 points and was over halfway done with the surveys. The emails i recieve are only 75 points, so i think it might only be 150 points for surveys now and then.

Same here, 2 surveys worth 150 each, heaps of questions than get told I don't qualify, woohoo got 5 points each. This way, It will take years to get enough points to have any sort of cash out. Looking back, in over 12 months I have only qualified for 1 survey and been able to complete it, omg.

Hi there should be some coming through at 150, the 75 points will be bumped to 100. You need to view the survey page for the 150 points ones for now..

That's not so bad @flowerpower98 I have had many times when I have been at 70-90% and then told I did not qualify, getting no points as well!

Go into the survey section on top of page and it will show you your 5000 compbux, but I am sure you need like 5200 to redeem 50 but for 3400 you can redeem 30, see how u go :)

The only section you could do that on this site is in this forum. Some other comping sites let you post direct. :)

You need to go to your Settings which can be found on the far RHS up the top with the arrow pointing down. If you want EVERYONE to read you comment change this to PUBLIC. If you only want the Public to read one of your posts, you need to change the arrow on bottom RHS from FRIENDS to PUBLIC. But fb are tricky, because you will still need to go back into Settings again and change back from Public to Friends.

Facebook been doing some strange things of late, could it, for some reason, be marking your comment as spam? I know this has been happening to some friends over the last month or two, and the public can not see the friends comment.

I'd like to know too. I've just been entering normally. Every time I go to enter the code word is eggs-husted.
Probably won't win, but you never know.
