Information on how to enter the Promotion and the prize form part of these Conditions of Entry. 2. Entry into this Promotion is deemed to be acceptance of these Conditions of Entry. The Promotion is open to individuals who are: i. Vrewards Members ii. residents of Victoria and Tasmania; iii. 16 years old or over; iv. not employees (or immediate family of such employees) of the Promoter, or any of its related corporations or any of the agencies associated with the Promotion (including suppliers of the prize); and v. persons who have not been discovered to have breached these Conditions of Entry or the Conditions of Entry of previous contests run by the Promoter, (“Entrants”). The first valid entry drawn in the Major Prize Draw will win the opportunity to play the Game. 6. Maximum retail value of the total prize pool (Instant Wins + Major Prize) is $1,423,000 RRP (inc. The Major Prize draw will be held at 10.00am (AEDT) on Monday 4 February 2019 at Village Cinemas Head Office, 500 Chapel Street, South Yarra, VIC, 3141.The first valid Entry drawn will be the Major Prize draw winner and will be contacted by phone and email within 2 business days of the draw, and their name & locality will be published online (villagecinemas.com.au) for a minimum period of 28 days. 8. The Promoter may draw additional Eligible Entries in the Prize Draw and record them in order to use in the event an ineligible entry or entrant is drawn or the Drawn Participant or nominated proxy cannot attend the Game. 9. The Promoter reserves the right to redraw the Major Prize in the event of an Entrant failing to comply with these Conditions of Entry or forfeiting or not claiming the prize by Friday 8 February 2019. If the Major Prize remains unclaimed by that date, a second chance draw will be held at 10.00am (AEDT) on Monday 11 February 2019 at Village Cinemas Head Office, 500 Chapel Street, South Yarra, VIC, 3141. Disposal of any unclaimed prize may be made subject to any written directions given by any government authority and pursuant to any relevant legislation. The winner must be able to attend the Game. Major Prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to attend or partake in the game as stated. Consolation Prize 11. If the Drawn Participant does not win the $1 million Major Prize, they will win a consolation prize of a VIP Movie Pass. (“Consolation Prize”). 12. The VIP Movie Pass entitles the Drawn Participant to two complimentary tickets every day for a year valid at all Village Cinemas, Event and BCC Cinemas. Only two complimentary tickets per session permitted. Seating is subject to availability. Not valid for movie sessions starting after 5pm on Saturday. Not valid for Gold Class, group bookings, special events, movie marathons or in conjunction with any other offer or promotion unless otherwise stated. VIP Movie Pass is not transferrable and cannot be sold or exchanged for cash or other gift products. Complimentary tickets will only be issued 30 minutes prior to session start time. The Game 13. The Game will take place at Village Cinemas Jam Factory (Game Location) on 12/02/2019 in the presence of competition representatives nominated by the Promoter and it’s insurer(“Judges”). 14. There will be one hundred (100) popcorn boxes on display at the start of the Game. One (1) popcorn box will contain a promotional message representing the $1,000,000 prize. The other ninety-nine (99) envelopes will each contain a promotional message representing the Consolation Prize.. 15. The Drawn Participant must choose only one (1) popcorn box without touching, handling or interfering in any way with any of the other envelopes on display. If the Drawn Participant is found to have breached this condition, they will be disqualified. If the Drawn Participant selects the envelope containing the promotional message representing the $1,000,000 prize, then, subject to verification by the Judges, the Drawn Participant will win $1,000,000. If the Drawn Participant selects an envelope containing a promotional message representing the Consolation Prize, then the $1,000,000 prize will not be given away and, subject to verification by the Judges, the Drawn Participant will receive a VIP Movie Pass. 16. Prize money will be awarded, at the absolute discretion of the Promoter, in Australian dollars to an Australian bank account nominated by the Drawn Participant. 17. One (1) nights’ accommodation at an establishment selected by the Promoter (minimum three (3) stars, twin-share) is provided to the Drawn Participant and included in the Prize. The Drawn Participant may select a companion to attend the Game with them and share the accommodation. The Drawn Participant must hold a valid credit card and present it upon check in at the accommodation to cover any incidental or other hotel charges. 18. If the Drawn Participant resides in Tasmania, the Promoter will liaise with the Drawn Participant to organise travel for the Drawn Participant and their nominated companion to Melbourne. for the Drawn Participant to play the Game. 19. The travel will include return economy flights from Tasmania to Melbourne, and airport/hotel/Game location transfers in Melbourne. Flights must be taken to coincide with the Game, departing and returning on the dates as determined by the Promoter. Spending money, meals, taxes (excluding airline and airport taxes if applicable), insurance, transport to and from departure point, additional transfers and all other ancillary costs are not included. All travel components to be taken together as a single trip as booked by the Promoter. Once booked, no changes to the booked are permitted. 20. If the Drawn Participant cannot attend the Game, the Drawn Participant may appoint a proxy over 18 years of age to play the on his/her behalf provided that the Drawn Participant gives the Promoter written, signed notice to that effect and at least 48 hours before the start of the Game. 21. The Drawn Participant’s odds of winning the $1,000,000 prize are 1 in 100. 22. The total maximum potential value of the Game prize money is up to $1,000,000. 23. Any cost associated with accessing the Promotion website is the Entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS & VERIFICATION 30. All entries in the Promotion may be subject to verification by the Promoter, including: i. Entrants MUST retain their receipt of purchase (evidencing their qualifying purchase) for all entries submitted as proof of purchase (Proof of Purchase) and winning scratch card. Entrants may be required to, within 7 days of being asked to do so, send their Proof of Purchase to the Promoter in order to validate their entry. A reply paid address will be provided to Entrants. Entrants must also retain a photocopy of the Proof of Purchase submitted for verification purposes. The Promoter recommends that Entrants send their Proof of Purchase via registered post, however this is not a Condition of Entry; and ii. All Entrants MUST also deliver to the Promoter (by a means reasonably determined by the Promoter) copies of any other documents the Promoter may request establishing eligibility to enter or win the Promotion, including but not limited to evidence of age, residence or identity.
