Entry is open to residents of Australia excluding employees of SQCT, or members of an employee’s immediate family.

Entrants may enter as many times as they wish providing each entry is unique and follows the terms and conditions of the Promotion as outlined.

Competition dates
Competition commences 9am AEST Friday 13/01/23 and concludes at 9am AEST on Friday 31/03/23.
How to enter
The Competition is run on social media using Facebook and Instagram and an existing social media account is required to participate. To be eligible Instagram or Facebook post settings (whichever is applicable) need to be set to ‘public’ to allow SQCT to receive and judge entries and communicate with the entrants. If post settings are ‘private’, entries can be submitting by tagging @sqcountry and direct messaging the post to the Southern Queensland Country official Facebook or Instagram page.
To enter, entrants must, during the Promotional Period, undertake and/or complete the following:
Step 1: Post an original photo of your memory-making moment in Southern Queensland Country (SQC). Photo needs to be an original, taken by you or someone with you somewhere within the SQC region.
Step 2: Tag @sqcountry and use the hashtag #sqcountry on Facebook and/or Instagram and include a comment on your memory-making moment.

Entry conditions
Entrants acknowledge that by entering the Competition, you grant the Promoter (SQCT), its licensees and assignees a perpetual, world-wide, royalty free, licence to exercise all rights (including intellectual property and privacy rights) to your entry and any other material provided by you for marketing purposes, including reposting or republishing, other use on social media, in printed publications and other marketing materials as may be relevant in promoting the region. You consent to your entry being edited or adapted or modified at any time and in any manner by the Promoter or its agents, licensees and assignees.
Images must be posted and visible as ‘public’ during the entire Promotional Period. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries due to technical disruptions, network issues or any other reason.
Game of skill
This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. All eligible entries will be individually judged by a panel of judges based on their creative merit and/or any additional criteria specified in the Competition Post. The entry/entries judged to be the best will win the prize.
Prize
The total prize pool is $1000 to be spent within Southern Queensland Country region on the winners choice of tourism experiences available in the region as listing within the Southern Queensland Country website, within the following three categories
Accommodation
Dining out and/or
Tours, entry tickets and/or other tourism experiences available in the region All nominated
The prize must be taken and used in full within six (6) months of the date of the draw. Usage of the prize is subject to the conditions below.
Notification to winner(s)
Judging will conclude and winner(s) announced on Monday 03/04/23 on the SQCT website plus on SQCT @sqcountry Facebook and Instagram social media platforms. The winner will also be sent a private message to their Facebook or Instagram account from the official account of SQC.
Accepting, using the prize and exclusions
Following the announcement, winners will need to send a private message to SQCT’s social media account with the winner’s contact details to enable SQCT to supply the prize. If the winner does not respond and/or accept the prize within seven (7) days of being notified, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to another eligible entrant.
To use the prize, the winner is required to contact the SQCT Marketing Team via phone on 07 4632 1988 with a minimum of two (2) months notice ahead of intended date of travel to commence the booking process. The winner may select their own choice of tourism experiences from the three categories of accommodation, dining out and/or tours, entry tickets and/or other tourism experiences available in the region, and listed within the Southern Queensland Country website. The winner may, at their discretion, nominate the $ value from their total $1000 prize to be allocated at each tourism experience/venue, up to a maximum of 10 x different tourism experiences/venues. In awarding the actual prize value, the SQCT Marketing Team will purchase pre-paid vouchers specific for collection by the prize winner at the prize winners’ nominated tourism experiences/venues, up the total collective cost of $1000. The full value of the prize must be taken and used in full within six (6) months of the date of the draw. If for any reason the winner does not take all or part of the prize including the use of any pre-paid voucher(s) at/by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.
The prize is intended for use as a tourism experience, to explore and travel within the SQC region. The prize however excludes car hire, petrol and/or other transport costs, groceries of any type and/or other incidentals not specifically named as part of the Prize above.
If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the Competition result.
The Promoter reserves the right to request the Winner to provide proof of identity and proof of residency at the nominated Prize delivery address. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification may be requested at the sole discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a Winner cannot provide suitable proof, the Winner will forfeit the Prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
The Prize will be awarded to the person named in the entry only. Should an entrant’s contact details change during the Promotional Period, it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter and modify their entry as appropriate.
The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any Prize usage except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including the CCA).
Facebook and Instagram terms

No endorsement
You acknowledge and agree that the Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any software, application or website used to enter the Promotion, including Facebook and Instagram. If you use any software, application or website to enter the Promotion, that use is subject to any applicable terms of use. In the event of any inconsistency between such terms and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions will prevail.
Your entry
Entrants warrant that their entry in the Competition does not breach the intellectual property rights of any third party nor breach the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (CCA). The entrant indemnifies and will keep the Promoter and its associated agencies indemnified against any loss, costs (including legal costs), expenses or liability the Promoter and its associated agencies may suffer arising out of any breach by the entrant of this clause.
Promoters rights
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of the Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms or who has, in the sole opinion of the Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the Competition which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Competition and/or Promoter.
Privacy
The information collected about entrants in the course of the Promotion has been requested to enable the Promoter to conduct the Promotion in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (including publicity), and for promotional purposes.
