Inspired by the true story of Rafael Padilla (Chocolat) and his rise to fame as the first black circus clown in late 19th Century France is a beautiful, funny, heart warming and emotional film.The period is displayed beautifully with rich design, providing a look inside the revolutionary circus performance of the time. The enigmatic Omar Sy shines as Chocolat, alongside James Their�e – the great grandson of the great English comic actor, Charlie Chaplin.
