About the film
When former rodeo champ-turned-motel-owner Sam (Jon Bernthal) befriends Elwood (Christopher Abbott), he is unaware that the man is responsible for a spate of violence that has suddenly gripped their small Alaskan town. Two women (Imogen Poots and Rosemarie DeWitt) are widowed, but all may not be as it seems. Written by the China brothers, SWEET VIRGINIA offers a terse and dark journey, filled with haunted souls.
