TERMS AND CONDITIONS
STANDARD TERMS
1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions.
Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. By
entering into the promotion each entrant warrants that they have read, understood and
agree to be bound by the terms and conditions.
WHO CAN ENTER
2. Entry is only open to Victorian residents.
3. Entrants under 18 years old must have parental/guardian approval to enter and further, the
parent/guardian of the entrant must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions.
Parents/guardians may be required by the Promoter (Destination Melbourne) to enter into a
further agreement as evidence of consent to the minor entering this promotion.
4. Employees (and their immediate family members) of the Promoter including agencies and/or
companies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means
any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or stepchild (whether natural
or by adoption), parent, stepparent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece,
nephew, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister or first cousin.
WHEN TO ENTER
5. The competition commences on Friday 13 April 2018 at 03:00pm (AEST) and concludes on
Thursday 7 June 2018 at 11:59pm (AEST) (“the Competition Period”). Entries must be
received by the Promoter by the competition close date and time.
HOW TO ENTER
6. To enter, individuals must complete the following steps during the Promotional Period:
(a) Visit www.dyob.com.au/win/sign-up-to-win and complete the entry form. Entrants must
supply their name, email address, area they reside and prize package they’d like to win.
7. Entry is free.
8. Once an entry has been successfully submitted, entrants will be presented with the
opportunity to share the competition with friends to gain bonus entries. Upon successfully
entering the competition, each user will be provided a unique URL to share with friends. For
every person that successfully accesses and enters via the unique link, 1 bonus entry will be
assigned to the original entrant who shared the link.

The five entrants with the most successful referrals (where they share their unique code with

10. Validity of the prizes cannot be extended and prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any
other offer. The prizes are subject to terms and conditions as specified on the vouchers.
11. An overnight stay in the deluxe suite of Marnong Estate homestead with breakfast for two is
valid for use from 1 May 2018 to 31 May 2019.
12. Welcome to Thornbury $300 voucher is valid for use until 30 December 2018. Includes $50 of
‘truck bucks’ to spend at any food truck and a $250 voucher to spend at the bar.
13. Palace Cinemas adult double pass is valid for use until 15 February 2019. Excludes film
festivals, special events, alternative content and premium concepts. Not for re-sale.
14. Localing Tours Boroughs of Melbourne four-hour walking tour for two of the southern
suburbs is valid for use until 31 December 2018. Tour can be arranged Monday to Friday.
15. Melbourne Cable Park Aqua Fun Park and Urban High Ropes family pass is valid for use until
31 December 2018. 1x Aqua Fun Park family pass for four people and 1x Urban High Ropes
family pass for four people.
16. Le Mans Go Karts $150 Go Karting and Lasertag family package is valid for use until 31
December 2018. The Le Mans Family Package is valid for Lasertag & Go Karting activities only.
Family Package is not redeemable for cash. Family Package is not valid on Saturdays. This
offer is not valid with any other discounts/offers.
17. Dandenong Market $100 voucher is valid for one year from date of issue. No change given.
18. An overnight stay in a Comfy King Room at Adelphi Hotel including mini-bar and movies is
valid for 6 months from date of issue. Subject to availability, as determined by the hotel.
19. Double pass for opening night of Melbourne Theatre Company's An Ideal Husband at Arts
Centre Melbourne is strictly non-transferable and valid only for the Opening Night
performance on Friday 20 July, 8pm. Tickets will be available for collection on the night from
7pm.
20. Burma Lane banquet dinner for two, handcrafted by executive chef John McLeay, with
matching wines is valid for 6 months from date of issue.
21. Arts Centre Melbourne $200 gift voucher is valid for 12 months from date of issue. Voucher
can be put towards tickets to any event at Arts Centre Melbourne (except for the Sidney Myer
Music Bowl). Voucher is redeemable for the full amount or to cover part of the transaction.
Any difference in the order total can be supplemented via credit card payment or residual
amounts can be used on another transaction at a later date.
22. An overnight stay in a King Room at Hyatt Place Melbourne, Essendon Fields with breakfast
for two is valid until 12 March 2019. Must be used Friday, Saturday or Sunday only.
23. Overnewton Castle Historical Tour and High Tea package for two is valid for 6 months from
date of issue. Subject to availability and bookings essential.
24. Two Lantern Ghost Tours Ghosts of the Old City Williamstown double passes are valid for 12
months from date of issue. No refunds. Change of date permitted with a minimum of 48
hours notice BEFORE your scheduled experience for a fee of $5 per order. New date must be
chosen at time of reschedule. Non-attendance and late cancellation voids your order. Tour
runs every Friday and Saturday evening and winners are welcome to book any date open for
bookings.
25. Werribee Open Range Zoo entries passes for four is valid until 10 December 2018. Passes are
valid for single entry only. No refunds, exchanges or transfers. Valid only for the date
admission listed on the ticket. For full terms and conditions, visit zoo.org.au/terms.
26. The Park Hotel $100 dining voucher is valid until 31 December 2018. Not to be used in
conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
27. Mantra Group $350 gift voucher for use at Art Series Hotel's The Chen is valid for use for six
months from date of issue.
28. Sarah Conners boutique $250 gift voucher is valid until 1 January 2019. The gift certificate is
valid for use on ready-to-wear instore items, workshops and events. It is not valid for use on
bespoke or made to order items.
29. LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne family pass is valid for use until 31 December 2018.
Ticket is for 2 adults and 2 children. Booking is not required.
30. Hellenic Republic Kew $150 gift voucher is valid for until 22 March 2019. The gift card is
available for use at Hellenic Republic, including Hellenic Hotel. It is not redeemable for cash
and will not be replaced if lost or stolen. Reservations recommended
31. Lido Cinemas $150 gift voucher is valid for use until 23 March 2019. Gift card can be used for
movie tickets, food and drink. Treat the card like cash.
32. 2x Lantern Ghost Tours Ghosts of the Old City Williamstown double passes are each valid for
12 months from date of issue. No refunds. Change of date permitted with a minimum of 48

35. Once received, the winners will need to make contact with all venues to book/redeem their
prizes. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prizes (including but not limited to
spending money, meals, travel, insurance and cancellation fees) are not included.
Redemption of the prizes is subject to any terms and conditions of the issuer including those
specified on the vouchers. All components of the prizes are subject to availability at the time
of booking.
36. The prizes must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winners are
unable to use the prizes as stated. If the winners are unable to satisfy these terms and
conditions or a prize is not utilised or able to be taken within the specified timeframe, the
prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu.
37. The prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable, exchangeable, refundable
or redeemable for cash. If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its
discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to
the equal value and/or specification.
38. In participating in the prizes, the winners agree to participate and cooperate as required in all
editorial activities relating to the promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed
and photographed. The winners grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive license to
use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winner will not be entitled
to any fee for such use.
39. The winners agree that they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs
to any media or other organisation. The winners undertake to be personally liable to observe
these terms and conditions.
HOW TO WIN
40. Each entrant who has entered the competition over the Competition Period in accordance
with the above will be entered into the running to win. The judging will take place at
Destination Melbourne, Level 12, 50 Queen Street, Melbourne on Friday 8 June 2018 at
2:00pm (AEST).
41. Five winners will be chosen from a random draw of entries received in accordance with these
Terms and Conditions. The draw will be performed by a random computer process.
42. Five top referral winners will be determined from competition management software, which
will keep a log of all successful referrals.
43. The ten winners will be notified by email on or before Tuesday 12 June 2018 and must
provide a postal address to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond within 14 days of
being notified, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and Destination Melbourne shall be
entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that
winner will have to respond to notification of their win within 14 days or else they will also
forfeit their prize). If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these
Terms and Conditions, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and Destination Melbourne shall be
entitled to select another winner.
44. The seven winners’ details (first initial and surname) will be published on the Discover Your
Own Backyard website at www.dyob.com.au/win/winners.
45. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
46. The prizes will be sent to the winners by Destination Melbourne by post.
47. The winners must, on request by the Promoters, be able to provide evidence which, to the
reasonable satisfaction of the Promoters, demonstrates that the winner is an eligible entrant
(as per above) and has complied with these Terms and Conditions.
48. As a condition of accepting the prizes, the winners must sign any legal documentation as and
in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion,
including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
NO LIABILITY
49. Incomplete, indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
50. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including
photograph) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of
promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products
manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
51. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as
reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter,
including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the
Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to
disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as
appropriate.
52. Destination Melbourne and associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for
late, lost or misdirected entries, or for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
53. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and
is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
54. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants
(including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who
submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers
with the entry process.
55. Destination Melbourne and associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any
misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim
that may occur:
a. during the draw;
b. as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected entries;
c. due to the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication
of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member,
journalist, other entrants or any other person;
d. arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone
network or lines or mobile communications network related to or resulting from
participation in this promotion;
e. during the use of the prizes;
f. due to circumstances outside the Promoters’ reasonable control.
56. Destination Melbourne and their affiliates assume no responsibility for any error, omission,
interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure,
theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right
to take any action that may be available.
57. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit,
exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and
Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer
protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”).

59. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for
this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents,
contractors, service providers and prize suppliers. Entry is conditional on providing this
information. Your details are kept private and only used for the purpose of contacting you,
should you be a winner in this competition. Destination Melbourne will not contact you
unless in relation to this competition or you have opted in to receive the Discover Your Own
Backyard eNewsletter. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct
information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
