Your nominated business must: - be located in NSW - provide goods or services to the general public - be a licensed builder, tradesperson, motor mechanic, motor dealer, real estate agent or travel agent, or a retail outlet like a store, restaurant or café, and - not be yours or a family member’s business. The promoter of this competition is NSW Fair Trading. By entering this competition you agree to these terms and conditions. Entry is free. Entries must be made by completing the Fair Trading I love my local business entry form. Fair Trading has the right to re-post, tweet or use your entry in other promotional material as required. The competition opens on Monday 13 Oct and closes on Sunday 9 Nov 2014. Winners will be announced in December 2014. NSW Fair Trading does not endorse any businesses mentioned in this competition. Fair Trading will take action against businesses that are in breach of Fair Trading laws if complaints received are justified. Your nominated business may be subject to compliance checks carried out by Fair Trading. Where an entry, post or comment is against the Fair Trading Facebook page user guidelines, or where there has been complaints received that have caused consumer detriment, Fair Trading reserves the right to remove it from the page. Entrants must receive the appropriate approvals for all submitted photos. A business cannot be nominated by its own family members or business partners. Fair Trading staff and their families are not permitted to enter the competition. Entries must meet the selection criteria in order to be shortlisted. Judging will be based on the 400 character (about 60 words) entry only and not on comments or posts made in conjunction with the entry. All shortlisted entries will be given the opportunity to win the People’s Choice award, which will involve the general public voting for their favourite entry. The entry that receives the most likes will win the People’s Choice award. The winners will be selected by an independent judging panel. The judges’ decision of all winners will be final and no correspondence will be entered into following the announcement of the winners. Winners will be contacted by telephone. If a prize winner cannot be contacted an alternative winner will be selected. NSW Fair Trading reserves the right to cancel the competition at any time and without notice.
