One lucky Cheapflights fan could win $2,000 Australian dollars to spend on flights to escape the winter. Want to be crowned our winner? Here’s how:
Step 1: Post a picture on Instagram that represents your ‘summer dreaming’. Add a caption that best sums up the photo.
Step 2: Tag @cheapflights in the post, and use the hashtag #CheapflightsWinterEscape to enter the competition.
The competition is open to entrants in Australia and New Zealand aged 18 years and over only. Entries close 11th July 2016 at 11.55pm. BST.
Competition Terms and Conditions
No purchase necessary. Entry to the competition is conditional on acceptance of these terms and conditions. By entering you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms.
In order to participate, the entrant must enter the promoter’s “#CheapflightsWinterEscape” competition via Instagram .
The entrant will be asked to post a picture on Instagram that represents ‘summer dreaming’ and add an imaginative caption. There is limit of 3 entries per person. If you enter more than 3 times only the first 3 entries will qualify. The competition is open to entrants in Australia and New Zealand aged 18 years and over only.
After the competition closing date, our judging panel of four travel bloggers will select one winner from all entries based on their favourite ‘summer dreaming’ photo and caption.
The start date for entries is 27th June, 2016 at 7am. BST.
The closing date for entries is 11th July, 2016 at 11:55pm. BST. Entries received after this date and time will not be accepted.
Employees of the promoter and members of their immediate families (including any live-in partner), its agencies, or anyone professionally associated with the promotion are excluded from entering the promotion. The promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.
The promoter of this competition is Cheapflights, Control Tower, One Alfred Place, London, WC1E 7EB, United Kingdom.
Prizes:
The main competition prize is flights up to a combined value of $2000 Australian dollars. This can be used however you choose.
Prize draws:
The final draw will take place on the 12th July, 2016. The winners will be notified via email within two days of the draw. The prize winners are required to accept his/her prizes by email within ten days of notification. In the event of non-acceptance, a supplementary winner may be drawn at the promoter’s discretion.
Both the main and bonus prize are non-transferable and must be used in conjunction with each other. There is no cash alternative to the prizes.
The prize winner must provide the promoter with their preferred airport of departure no more than two weeks after accepting the prize. The preferred trip itinerary must be based on fares and search criteria available on the prize winner’s local Cheapflights website, and not exceed the total prize fund allocated.
The competition prize winner and any guests are responsible for paying all additional costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included (as stated in these Terms & Conditions), including, where applicable, transport to and from the respective airports, accommodation fees, meal costs, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals.
The promoter holds no responsibility or liability for the winner and their guest. Insurance is not included in the prize. The promoter strongly advises the winner and their guest to take out comprehensive travel insurance for their trip. The promoter will not be held responsible for any hotel or flight cancellations and, therefore, advises the winner to ensure cancellation is included in their travel insurance.
The promoter reserves the right to amend the specification of the prize, or offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value, at any time before the competition closes.
The competition winner is solely responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents, including valid passports and visas.
The prize winners may be required to participate in publicity accompanying or resulting from this promotion. The winners’ names and photos will be made available upon request and winners may be displayed on the Cheapflights Social Media feeds and websites. We also have the right to use any pictures used to enter the competition on our website and the Cheapflights blog.
The right is reserved to terminate or withdraw this contest at any time.
The promoter assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of the website during the competition period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating and entering in the promotion. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the promoter reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically MV reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, plagiarized, altered or tampered with in any way.
The promoter shall be entitled to terminate or modify the promotion or to modify these rules at any time prior to the closing date by publishing any such modification or termination on any website operated by the promoter.
In the event of a dispute, the decision of the promoter shall be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter and accordingly the promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
The promoter has organized this competition in good faith and does not accept liability relating to the prize.

The promoter will not pass any email addresses on to third parties. By entering this competition you accept signing up to the Cheapflights newsletter which contains travel inspiration and tips for booking cheap flights, hotels and car hire. You are free to unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time via the link provided in each email. The promoter will use your email address in compliance with the provisions of the applicable Data Protection legislation.

These terms and conditions are available in English only and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the entrant’s country of residence.
