CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry. Only entries which are submitted and comply with these conditions of entry may take part in this competition.
2. The Promoter is Universal Pictures International Australasia Pty Ltd (A.C.N 122 951 099) of Level 32, 580 George Street, Sydney, NSW 2000 (“Promoter”) and the Major Prize fulfilment agency is Performance Entertainment Pty Ltd. Ground Floor, 324 New South Head Road, Double Bay NSW 2028, Australia.
3. Entry is open to all permanent residents of Australia and those under 18 years of age must have parent/guardian permission to enter except employees of the Universal Pictures International Australasia Pty Ltd, Seven Network (Operations) Limited, Now We Collide, its agents and the immediate family of those employees.
4. The competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner.
5. Competition Dates and Notification
Phase 1: Entries
The competition is open for entries from 06:00 AEDT on Monday 19 November 2018 and ends at 23:59 AEDT on Wednesday 5 December 2018.
Entrants can post up a photo or video sharing their festive best to the dedicated competition website www.thegrinchmovie.com.au/competition OR Using their Twitter and/or Instagram account, entrant to post a photo or video utilising the hashtag #dontbeagrinch
Phase 2: Judging
The winners will be selected by the Promoter’s panel of judges at 10:00am AEDT on Thursday 6 December 2018
At the Promoter’s discretion, the announcement and notification of the major prize winner may be made either:
(a) via a live announcement on Sunrise breakfast show on Friday 7 December 2018 OR
(b) via individual notification to the major prize winner on Friday7 December 2018 according to the platform used to enter:
• Instagram: Contact via an image or video comment;
• Twitter: Contact via tweet to the original tweet account sent;

6. How To Enter (Phase 1)
Entries can be lodged during the “Phase 1: Entries” promotion period by either of the following entry mechanics:
(a) Upload a photo or video sharing your festive best to the dedicated competition website www.thegrinchmovie.com.au/competition
OR
(b) Using your Twitter and/or Instagram account, post a photo or video of your festive best with the hashtag #dontbeagrinch
All entries must be received by 23:59 AEDT on Wednesday 5 December 2018. No entries will be accepted after the close date. Entries must be correct, complete and comprehensible. Entries become the property of the Promoter and will not be returned.
You can enter and submit multiple entries. However, the Promoter reserves the right to reject any entries that are seen as duplicating the same or are similar to entries of other entrants multiple times within this competition, or entrants who appear at the Promoters sole discretion manipulating the spirit of the competition. Each entry must be substantially unique. In the event that multiple substantially similar entries are identified, the judges may disqualify one (1) or more of those entries in their sole discretion and the judges’ decision in relation to any aspect of the competition will be final and binding on every person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into.
By entering you are warranting that you have all necessary rights in the content of your entry and that your posting/uploading of that content you agree to grant the Promoter, free of charge, the right to use your entry and all its content in any manner and media, including without limitation, the right to publish, adapt, distribute, copy, display or translate, in perpetuity throughout the world. You also grant the Promoter the right to license to others and waive all your “moral” rights to the fullest extent permissible by law and you warrant that your entry will not violate, misappropriate or infringe on the rights of any third party.
You agree that they are fully responsible for the content you submit. The Promoter shall not be liable in any way for such content to the full extent permitted by law. The Promoter may remove any content without notice for any reason whatsoever. The Promoter and/or its representatives may conduct security and/or verification checks in their absolute discretion to determine an entrant’s eligibility to enter the Promotion. Ineligible entries will be deemed to be invalid.
You warrant and agree that: (a) you will not submit any content that is unlawful or fraudulent, or that the Promoter may deem in breach of any intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights, defamatory, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, sexually inappropriate, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, objectionable with respect to race, religion, origin or gender, not suitable for children aged under 15, or otherwise unsuitable for publication; (b) you will obtain prior consent from any person or property that appears in your content; (c) you will obtain full prior consent from any person who has jointly created or has any rights in the content, to the uses and terms herein; (d) your content shall not contain viruses or cause injury or harm to any person or entity; and (e) you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, those governing copyright, content, defamation, privacy, publicity and the access or use of others' computer or communication systems.
7. Judging (Phase 2)
The winners will be selected by the Promoter’s panel of judges. The judges will determine the winners based on the creativity and originality as exhibited in the entry and the connection to THE GRINCH film. The creativity and originality can be based on what the photo or video evokes (such as being funny, evocative or unique). For the entry to be eligible it must be the entrant’s own original photo or video.
The judges’ selection of the Major Prize winner and Runner-Up Winners is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the selection of the winners.
The winners will be judged by a panel of judges at the Promoter’s office Universal Pictures Australasia Lvl 32, 580 George St Sydney from 10:00am AEDT on Thursday 6 December 2018.
The Major Prize
The 1 (one) entry that is deemed as being the most creative and original out of all valid entries received will be deemed as the Major Prize Winner.
If the Major Prize is not claimed by 18:00 AEDT on Monday 10 December 2018 or the entry is deemed invalid for any reason, the Major Prize is forfeited and the entrant deemed as having the second most creative entry shall be awarded the Major Prize (the judges’ decision being final).
Runner-Up Prizes
The next 10 (ten) entries that are deemed as being the next most creative and original out of all valid entries received will be deemed as Runner-Up Winners and each Runner-Up Winner shall receive a family in-season pass ticket to see THE GRINCH.
All Runner-up Winners’ tickets will be sent directly to the Runner-Up Winners who must have a valid Australian address to enable the delivery of their prize. Delivery will be made within 10 days of the winners confirming their delivery address after the close of phase 2.
8. The Prizes
1 x Major Prize
A$20,000 cash prize via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the Major Prize Winner’s nominated Australian bank account.
It is the Major Prize Winner’s responsibility to ensure they provide their correct bank details for processing.

10 x Runner-Up Prizes
Each Runner-Up Winner will receive an in-season family pass (valid for up to 2 adults and 2 children) ticket to see The Grinch at participating cinemas. (RRP $70 each).
Redemption of the in-season ticket is subject to the terms and conditions printed on the ticket.
Total RRP value of Runner-Up Prizes: $700
TOTAL PRIZE POOL: AU$20,700
Prize values are based on recommended retail prices and/or costs and are correct at the date of printing terms and conditions (inclusive of GST). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any change in prize value between now and the ultimate date individual prizes are awarded.
To claim their prize, prize winners may be required to provide supporting identification. If the winner is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must accompany the winner when redeeming the prize. If the winner, for any reason, does not take any element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the winner forfeits the prize, with no compensation or further liability of the Promoter.
9. Other Terms and Conditions:
By entering the competition, you agree to (a) your content being used in the promotion of this Competition and (b) to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed, photographed and appearing on Channel 7’s Sunrise program. You agree to grant the Promoter, free of charge, the right to use your entry and all its content in any manner and media, including without limitation, the right to publish, adapt, distribute, copy, display or translate, in perpetuity throughout the world; you also grant the Promoter the right to license to others and waive all your “moral” rights to the fullest extent permissible by law and will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
The winners agree that they will not and will ensure that their companions do not sell or otherwise make available their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation (other than as part of the official Competition publicity program).
The Promoter reserves the right to moderate all content.
The Promoter and its associated agencies, are not liable for any loss, damage, personal injury or death whatsoever (including, but not limited to, any direct, indirect or consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with this Competition, the use of a prize or any act or omission (whether negligent or not) of the Promoter, its associated agencies or any person associated with any of them, except to the extent that any liability cannot be excluded by law.
If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or to postpone or cancel the Competition.
In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all aspects of the prize, if the promoter determines, in their absolute discretion, that a winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the prize. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
All entries become the property of the Promoter on receipt and the Promoter reserves the right to use any personal information provided you to enter you in the Competition and conduct the Competition in accordance with the Universal Pictures Privacy Policy found at www.nbcuniversal.com/privacy. If you do not provide us with all or part of the personal information requested we may not be able to enter you into the Competition. You may access your personal information held by us by contacting us using the contact details provided in these terms and conditions.
This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Twitter or Instagram. You are providing your information to Universal Pictures International Australasia Pty Ltd and not to Twitter or Instagram. The information you provide will only be used for the purpose of this Competition.
Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prizes are not included. These are the responsibility of the winners.
Prizes will be awarded to the person named in their entry. Should an entrant’s contact details change during the Competition Period it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to the Promoter
All prizes are non-transferrable and no cash alternative is available for any prize. Prizes must be taken as offered. Any prize or any unused portion of any prize are not exchangeable or cannot be redeemed as cash. Prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other special offer. Prize values are in Australian dollars. Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of their prize.
In acceptance of the prize, the winners acknowledge that they may incur ongoing costs associated with the prize which are the entire responsibility of the winner.
The Promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any damaged, delayed or lost in transit in the delivery of the prize.
The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the Competition result.
This Competition is governed by the exclusive law and jurisdiction of Australia.
