Terms & Conditions
The competition will run from 10 February 2014 to 2 May 2014.
The Promoter is located at Level 11, 1 Chifley Square, Sydney NSW 2000.
Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these terms and conditions. Participation in this competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Subject to the other limitations set out here, to enter and be eligible to win, entrants must follow all instructions stated on the online entry form and in these terms and conditions.
Entry is open to all residents of Australia (who are 18 years of age or over), however employees of the Promoter, and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
Entrants can enter via the Yellow Brick Road website www.ybr.com.au/myths. To enter, entrants are required provide a response of 25 words or less, as well as provide various personal information including name, email address, contact phone number and postcode.
The competition will commence at 11:00AM AEST on Monday 10 February 2014, and entries will close at 11:00AM AEST on Friday 2 May 2014.
Winners will be selected on the following dates ("Winner Assessment Date") at 11am (AEST): 28/02/14; 7/03/14; 14/03/14; 21/03/14; 28/03/14; 4/04/14; 11/04/14; 18/04/14; 25/04/14 and 02/05/14.
Entrants that enter more than once in a round will be regarded as having entered once only in that round. Once a winner has been determined on a Winner Assessment Date, all remaining submissions received for that selection round will be discarded. If a non-winning entrant wishes to re-enter for the prize for a subsequent round, they will need to re-submit their information for each round. An entrant who has won the prize in a selection round is not permitted to win the competition again in the remaining rounds.
The Promoter will notify each winner by email within two business days of the determination, and publish the winner's name on the promoter's website (www.ybr.com.au) within two business days of the determination, for a period not less than 28 days. YBR reserves the right to publish the winner's information on its website.
The winner will receive a payment made into their nominated bank account in the amount of $5,000. There will be 10 different winners over the completion term each for an amount of $5,000. Total prize pool is $50,000.00.
All prizes and payments are from Yellow Brick Road Finance Pty Limited ABN 9 33 128 708 109 (Australian Credit Licence 393 195) ("YBR Finance").
Prizes must be redeemed in full by 30/06/2014.
The Promoters will select a winning entry based on the overall level of creativity. All decisions made in relation to all aspects of this promotion are final and binding. The Promoter will not be required to enter into any subsequent correspondence or discussion in relation to the decisions made in relation to this competition. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.
The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity before awarding the prize. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for any late, lost or misdirected entries.
In the event a prize is unclaimed by a winner and upon reasonable efforts by YBR Finance to establish contact with that winner, YBR Finance asserts its right to retain the prize monies.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) assumes no liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason; (d) any variation in prize value; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; (f) redemption of a prize and/or (g) participation in the promotion.
The Promoter will be liable for any fees or charges which result from the payment made into a nominated bank account.
It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
The Promoter reserves the right to publish and or promote relevant details regarding the winner's story and information on how they may have benefited from the prize.
All entries become the property of the Promoter. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this competition is governed by the Privacy Notice of the Promoter (found on our website: http://www.ybr.com.au/privacystatement/).
The winners may be featured on the promoter's website, social media sites or blog. It is a condition of accepting the prize that each winner provides the Promoter with any photographs of and/or information regarding the redeemed prize for inclusion on our website, social media sites or blog. Decisions on the inclusion of any such features (including but not limited to creative control and date of inclusion) will remain at the complete discretion of the Promoter.
The Promoter reserves the right to use any content submitted by entrants, and by submitting such entrants agree to transfer all copyright and IP rights to the Promoter (or its nominee) for the submitted content.
By entering the competition and providing an email address, the entrant thereby agrees to consent to receiving any future emails relating to the Promoter's other publications, products, services and events.
If for any reason this competition becomes incapable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any reasonable action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
