Information on how to enter this competition forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Competition period:
The competition commences 19 July 2018 and closes at 11:59 pm on 18 July 2019. All references to times are to New South Wales Australia time.
How to enter:
This is a skill based competition and chance plays no part in determining the competition winner. There is no charge for entering this competition and no purchase is necessary to enter or redeem the competition prize. The best valid entry as determined by the judges according to the Entry Criteria will win the Prize described. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

To enter the competition, Entrants must go to the competition website via the URL supplied and follow the prompts to register their details including salutation, first name, surname, telephone numbers, email address and survey questions. To enter the competition Entrants must also provide an answer, in less than 400 characters (including spacing), to a skill testing question: How would winning $5,000 off your mortgage help you?

All Entrants who register their details complete the survey questions and skill testing question during the competition period will receive one entry to win the major prize. (See Prize Details below.)
Eligibility:
Entrants must be at least 18 years of age and have an outstanding residential mortgage with a registered Australian mortgage provider to be eligible to enter this competition.
Entrants are not eligible to enter this competition if they are an employee, or an immediate family member of the Promoter or Designated Promotional Partners, their affiliated companies or related bodies corporate (as defined in the Corporations Act).
Entrants may only submit one entry into the competition. Entrants who submit multiple entries will be disqualified.
This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or otherwise associated with Google, LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter and their affiliates. Each participant completely releases, to the full extent permitted by law, Google, LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter and their affiliates from all liability related to this competition. Participants should direct all questions and comments regarding this competition to the Promoter.
Prize Details
Entrants have the opportunity to win a $5,000 payment made to them by bank cheque to reduce their mortgage within 30 days of validation of the prize winner as the winner of the prize.
Judging information:
Judging will be conducted within 2 weeks of the end of the competition to determine the best answer to the skill testing question. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Winner will be notified by telephone or email, using the information supplied on the winner's entry form, within 48 hours of the completion of judging.
If the prize is unclaimed, the next best answer to the skill testing question as determined by the judges will be selected as the prize winner.
General provisions:
The Promoter, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to verify the validity of the claims and to disqualify any Entrant who tampers with the entry process, or submits a claim that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter reserves the right to resolve any and all discrepancies, disputes or unforeseen circumstances as it deems fit subject to relevant Australian Federal and State legislations. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Neither the Promoter nor any of its agents are responsible for lost, late, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, ineligible or incorrectly submitted entries.
If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any direction given under the relevant Australian Federal or State legislations and regulations.
The Promoter and Designated Promotional Partners shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered by any Entrant or Winner, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, or for any personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of participating in this competition or taking any prize, save where such liability cannot be excluded by law. This competition is void where prohibited by law.
Privacy:
The information on the entry form is being collected by the Promoter and Designated Promotional Partners for the purposes of the advertised competition and utilisation by the Promoter and Designated Promotional Partners for marketing and promotion of their goods and services. The Promoter and Designated Promotional Partners may also disclose information collected from entry forms to their related entities, affiliated suppliers or contracted third parties to assist the Promoter and Designated Promotional Partners in their marketing and promotion activities.
All Entrants give the Promoter and Designated Promotional Partners their express and indefinite consent to contact them by telephone, mail or email for promotional purposes. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by contacting the Promoter in writing. A copy of the Promoter’s Privacy Policy is available on the competition website or by contacting the Promoter in writing.
