Starting in the bustling capital of Amman Encounters Travel take a day trip out to the extensive and well preserved Roman remains at Jerash before heading across to the Dead Sea for a quick float in its salty waters ? an experience you?ll never forget.
The tour then head?s south along the scenic King Highway towards the Petra, visiting Madaba, Mount Nebo, and the spectacular crusader castle at Kerak en route as well as driving up and down some majestic Wadis (deep valleys).
Next is a full day to explore the wonderful ?Rose Red City? of Petra. You?ll start with a walk through the narrow, winding Siq and then wonder at the majesty of the mighty Treasury, built more than 2,000 years ago. You have a morning, guided tour of the site and then plenty of time to explore further yourselves.
Continuing south you then stop at Wadi Rum, famous for its links with the British Army officer Lawrence of Arabia. After a 4?4 jeep safari through the spectacular desert scenery the tour returns to Amman where the tour ends.
