The competition is open to Australian and foreign residents who are 18 years of age or older. However, members of the Mater Foundation board, employees, and parties associated with the draw's administration, along with their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.

The competition closes at 7:55 pm AEST on 20 December 2024. The main draw will take place at 10:00 am AEST on 24 December 2024.

Participants can enter by purchasing tickets for Mater Prize Home lottery No. 316. Tickets can be bought online at the Mater Lotteries website or by phone. There is an early bird special draw for those who purchase tickets before 11:59 pm AEST on 29 October 2024, where they will be entered to win $5,000 in gold bullion.

The first prize is a luxury prize package valued at $5,212,078, which includes: 1. A Gold Coast waterfront home at 88 River Links Boulevard East, Helensvale, QLD 4212, valued at $3,700,000. 2. Full furnishings and styling worth $248,337. 3. A Lexus RX350 AWD valued at $114,741. 4. A Sea Ray 190 SPX OB Bowrider + Float Bricks Docking System worth $149,000. 5. $1,000,000 in cashable gold bullion. Additionally, there are book buyer bonus prizes based on the number of tickets purchased, with the maximum prize being $60,000 in gold bullion. VIP members can also enter weekly and birthday draws, with prizes ranging from holiday vouchers to $50,000 in gold bullion.

The total prize pool for this lottery is $5,212,078. This includes the first prize package as well as additional VIP and book buyer prizes.
