The following information and terms and conditions relate to the Mauritius Tourism Facebook prize draw to ‘Win a 5* Trip to Mauritius’ (the ‘Promotion’) and associated promotions run by Digital Visitor Limited (the ‘Administrator’). By entering the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. ‘The Promoter’ of this action is Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA), 4-5th Floor, Victoria House, St Louis Street, 11302, Port Louis, REPUBLIC OF MAURITIUS
1. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Promotion, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
2. This Promotion is open to individuals aged 18 and over only.
3. Employees of The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority and Digital Visitor, their members, partners or any company involved in the Promotion, or members of their families or households, are not eligible to win.
4. The Promotion opens 09:00 06:10:17 and closes 00:00 06:11:17 (the ‘Promotion Period’). No entries submitted before or after the Promotion Period will be valid. The promoter has the authority to amend or withdraw this without prior notice at any time during this period.
5. The Promotion is free to enter – no purchase is necessary.
6. All valid and successful entries made during the Promotion Period will be eligible to win the trip consisting of;

• 2 return tickets in economy valid between 01 January 2018 and 31 December 2018 (excluding peak seasons)


• 7-night stay for 2 persons in a double room on complimentary half-board basis at the Long Beach Golf & Spa Resort valid between 01 January 2018 and 31 December 2018 excluding peak seasons and upon availability


• Transfer from the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International airport to the Long Beach Golf & Spa Resort upon arrival and vice-versa upon departure

7. Flight Tickets Terms and Conditions:

• Prize consists of one pair of Economy class return tickets to Mauritius. Flight tickets are valid between 01 January 2018 and 31st December 2018.


• Tickets are subject to availability. To avoid disappointment, book early. There may be restricted availability of free tickets on certain periods of high demand, such as during public holidays, summer peak season, Christmas and New Year, as the seats are subject to availability.


• Flights include taxes and a standard luggage allowance.


• Each pair of return tickets must be used together. Both passengers must travel together.


• Photos and illustrations of the prize are non-contractual.

8. Long Beach Golf & Spa Resort Terms and conditions:

• Prize consists of 7 nights accommodation for two people at the Long Beach Golf & Spa Resort staying in a Double Room on a half board basis


• Accommodation is valid between 01 January 2018 and 31st December 2018 but is subject to availability.


• All extras must be settled by guests at the hotel.


• Photos and illustrations of the prize are non-contractual.

9. Transfer Terms and conditions:

• Prize consists of the transfer from the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International airport to the Long Beach Golf & Spa Resort on arrival and the transfer from the hotel back to the airport after 7 nights.


• Photos and illustrations of the prize are non-contractual.

10. The prize is subject to availability, is non-transferable, non-negotiable and there is no cash alternative.
11. To enter the Promotion, you must answer one question and submit your details. By opting in to receiving future marketing, you agree to receive email correspondence from Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority and/or Long Beach Golf and Spa Resort.
12. There is a maximum of one entry per user.
13. Proof of entry, is not proof of receipt.
14. The Promoter, Administrator and the Prize Partner accept no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to the Promotion.
15. If for any reason any aspect of the Promotion does not function correctly, whether by means of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter and Administrator that corrupts or affects the administration, integrity or fairness of the Promotion, then the Promoter may at its sole discretion cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion and/or invalidate affected entries.
16. The Promoter reserves the right, at its discretion, to disqualify any entrant and withhold prizes if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these rules or if they do not comply with any of these terms and conditions.
17. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and any amendments will be published on the ‘Mauritius Tourism’ Facebook Page Notes section.
18. One winner will be chosen at random by the Administrator, from all eligible entries and contacted within 5 business days of the Promotion closing, unless specified otherwise.
19. The Promoter and Administrator will use reasonable endeavours to contact the winner using the contact details supplied upon entry to the Promotion. If the winner does not respond within 30 days of the first notification, the winner forfeits their right to claim the Prize. Neither the Promoter nor Administrator shall be responsible should the winner provide incorrect contact or delivery details.
20. If a winner forfeits their prize by failing to comply with these terms and conditions an alternative winner will be chosen at random and this process will continue until there is a valid winner.
21. The trip winner will be asked to book their prize in accordance with these terms and conditions and any other instructions provided by the Administrator and the Promoter.
22. The Promoter, Administrator, Prize Partner and their associated agencies and companies accept no liability for any loss, expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with the Promotion or the winners’ enjoyment of the prizes, other than such liability that cannot be excluded by law including death or personal injury caused by negligence, where liability shall be limited to the minimum permissible by law.
23. Promotion winner’s name may be published on the Mauritius Tourism associated social media accounts.
24. After 06:11:17 and for the following 3 months, the name and county of residence of the winner will be available upon written request to Digital Visitor, 1st Floor, Hanover House, Queen Charlotte Street, Bristol, BS1 4EX. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
25. The winner may be requested to take part in promotional activity without compensation and the Promoter reserves the right to use the name and location of winner/photographs of him/her in any publicity.
26. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation, and will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual’s prior consent.
27. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Disputes arising in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
28. This Promotion is in no way sponsored or endorsed by Facebook. You are providing your information to the Promoter and the Administrator and not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used in the administration of the Promotion and for email marketing purposes. You may opt out of receiving further communications from the promoter and Prize Partners by un-ticking the box in the entry form provided.
