Win a Brisbane Hinterland or Moreton Island Getaway for 2

1. These terms and conditions set out all of the information regarding the Brisbane Economic Development Agency – Visit Brisbane Competition (the Terms and Conditions).
2. The promoter of this competition is Brisbane City Council ABN 72 002 765 795 whose principal offices are at 266 George Street Brisbane 4000, acting through its wholly owned subsidiary, Brisbane Economic Development Agency Pty Ltd ACN 094 633 262 (the Promoter).
3. Information on how to enter this competition forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
4. Competition entry is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
5. Prizes: There are two (2) prizes available to be won for this competition, where each prize consists of one (1) unique visit Brisbane “package” as described in (a) to (b) below (each a Prize):
(a) one prize package consists of:
(i) 2 x $500 flight vouchers with Virgin Australia
(ii) Accommodation for two (2) people to stay for two (2) nights at the O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat located at 3582 Lamington National Park Rd, Canungra QLD 4275. This voucher entitles you to 2 nights' accommodation in a One Bedroom Villa for 2 adults to share, including a 60 min relaxation massages per person at the Lost World Spa. The voucher is not redeemable for cash and is subject to availability. The minimum nights' policy may vary on School Holidays and Long Weekend
(iii) 2 x Floating Images Air Balloon Flight Experience Vouchers. Floating Images’ terms and conditions including Experience Voucher validity, refunds, flight alteration/cancellation, packages & no-show policy, apply. Experience Vouchers are not redeemable for cash. Please see the website floatingimages.com.au for full details. Passengers cannot change their confirmed booking date 14 days prior to the flight. If so cancellation policy & fees will apply accordingly. #1 Weight limitations & surcharges may apply.
The total value of this prize package (a) is approximately $4180.00
(b) one (1) prize package consisting of:
(i) 2 x $500 flight vouchers with Virgin Australia
(ii) Accommodation for two (2) people to stay three (3) nights at the Tangalooma Island Resort, located at Tangalooma, Moreton Island QLD 4025. This voucher entitles you to return boat transfers from Brisbane, 3 x nights' accommodation in Hotel Deluxe accommodation, Desert Safari Tour with sand tobogganing (once per person per stay), 6-minute scenic helicopter ride (once per person per stay), 3 hour whale watching cruise (once per person per stay), wild dolphin feeding experience (once per person per stay), $50 dinner voucher (per person per night) Eco Ranger wildlife experiences, full use of sport facilities and free activities and single car parking at Holt Street Wharf for duration of stay. This prize voucher expires on 30 June 2023 and must be redeemed before this date. All travel must be completed before this time, and extensions will not be granted. It is advised that the prize recipient books well in advance of their planned travel dates to secure availability and avoid disappointment. Not redeemable for cash and non-transferrable to other products. The prize cannot be transferred to other persons or parties. For the prize to be validated the prize recipient must travel on the booking and may need to show identification upon check-in to validate the booking. Prize winners under the age of 18 will require a parent or guardian to claim the prize on their behalf upon presentation of identification. Prize winners under the age of 18 will require an adult over the age of 18 in their immediate travel party for the duration of their stay at Tangalooma Island Resort. The prize will be subject to the applicable package conditions at time of booking. Bookings are subject to availability. Not available peak or high season, public holiday weekends, school holidays & cruise arrival dates. Blockout dates apply. Booking dates are not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from Tangalooma Island Resort. Boat transfers are made available by Tangalooma Island Resort on a 'subject to availability' basis. This prize voucher is eligible for one booking only and no change will be provided for unspent portions. Holidays are made available by Tangalooma Island Resort on a 'subject to availability' basis. Accommodation check-in from 2pm and Check-out at 10am. No daily maid service included for duration of stay. Children are classified as 3 to 14 years inclusive.
The total value of this prize package (c) is approximately $2664.00.
(iii) The Prize is not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Any additional expenses incurred by the Prize winners, other than those outlined in these Terms and Conditions, are the responsibility of the Prize winners.
(iv) The Prize is subject to the specific terms and conditions of the Prize providers (including, without limitation, age restriction policies and to the extent the Prize is a ticket to an event, the terms and conditions applicable to that ticket and event) and the Prize winner will not be entitled to any monetary compensation (including any refund of the ticket price or otherwise) in connection with the Prize. Entrants acknowledge the risk of delay, postponement or cancellation of an event is beyond the control of the Promoter. The Prize must be redeemed by the Prize winners. If the Prize winners are under eighteen (18) years of age, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when redeeming the Prize.
6. Competition period: This competition will open at midday AEST on 11 July 2022 and close at 11.50pm AEST on 24 July 2022. No entries will be accepted after this time.
How to enter: Entrants must fully complete and submit the online entry from found at: visitbrisbane.com.au/win and follow @VisitBrisbane on Instagram to be eligible. Only one entry per entrant will be accepted, and any subsequent entries from the same entrant will be deemed invalid.
7. Eligibility: To be eligible to enter this competition, a person must:
(a) be a resident of Australia living outside of the Queensland, identified by the postcode provided on the online entry form (and be able to provide proof of residency if required by the Promoter); and
(b) not be an employee or contracted staff of the Promoter.
8. Competition draw: The winners of the competition will be the first two (2) eligible entries randomly drawn by an officer of the Promoter at approximately 9:00am AEST on 25 July 2022.
The decision of that officer shall be conclusive and no correspondence will be entered into.
Winner notification: The winners will be notified via phone, email or Instagram messenger by an officer of the Promoter by 5pm AEST on 25 July 2022.
9. Prize claim and Prize re-draw: The winners must claim the Prize by contacting the Promoter on the details notified by the Promoter (either by phone or email), by 10.00am AEST on 27 June (the Prize Claim Date).
If a Prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date, the winner (as originally drawn) will cease to be the winner and will not be entitled to claim the Prize.
The Promoter will be entitled to re-draw a new winner and provide a period of time for that new winner to claim that Prize. If that new winner fails to claim the Prize in the applicable period of time, that new winner will cease to be the winner and will not be entitled to claim the Prize. This re-draw process may continue to apply on any number of occasions (at the discretion of the Promoter), until such time as the Prize is claimed by all winners within the applicable period.
The Promoter, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right not award the Prize to any entrant, including without limitation, if the Prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date or any subsequent period provided for a new winner to claim the Prize.
10. Prize redeem: To redeem the Prize, once a Prize winner has claimed the Prize and provided an email address, the Prize will be sent out to the Prize winner by email.
11. No liability of Promoter: The Promoter accepts no responsibility whatsoever for late, misplaced, lost or ineligible entries. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the Prize. Despite any other provision of these Terms and Conditions, to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for:
(a) any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct loss, indirect loss, economic loss, special loss or consequential loss) which is suffered or incurred by an entrant (including without limitation any Prize winner); or
(b) without limiting paragraph (a), any personal injury or death or loss of, or damage to, property in connection with the entry into the competition or acceptance of the Prize,
howsoever such liability arises and whether arising in tort (including without limitation in negligence), for breach of contract (including without limitation under any indemnity), under statute, in equity of otherwise.
This condition is not intended to exclude any liability which cannot be excluded under Australian consumer protection laws. Any such liability is limited to the resupply of the Prize.
12. Privacy consent: By entering this competition, the entrant acknowledges and consents to their personal information being collected and stored by the Promoter for the purpose of this competition;
13. Force Majeure: If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter), which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify all entries from any individual who tampers with, or benefits from tampering with, the entry process which as a result corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition.
14. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same Terms and Conditions.
15. Competition updates or cancellation: Council reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, including amending key dates and times in conditions 6, 9 and 10 of these Terms and Conditions, and to cancel or amend the competition at any time without notice or further recourse to the entrants.
