The B.I.G: Beat Invisible Glaucoma photographic competition, initiated by Glaucoma Australia, is designed to raise awareness of glaucoma, which remains as the only preventable form of age-related blindness.
Submit a photograph relating to B.I.G: Beat Invisible Glaucoma, to raise glaucoma awareness. There are four categories to choose from and you must include a title and state the reason (in 25 words or less) why your photo is relevant to your chosen category. Entries will be judged on their composition, content and creativity.

There are four categories for this competition. This competition is open to Australian residents, who can enter once only- select an appropriate category when submitting an entry online.

* Under the age of 18 as at 11th April 2014. An entry in the junior age group must be accompanied by signed permission from a parent or guardian to be a valid entry. The parental consent form must be completed and submitted via email (scanned), faxed or posted; and can be downloaded here.
Prizes
Each of the two senior category winners will receive a CANON Powershot S120 digital camera, RRP $499 and the two junior category winners will receive a Celestron telescope, RRP $249.00.
Runners Up
First and second runners up in each senior category will each receive a one year subscription to Glaucoma News and a certificate of acknowledgement. First and second runners up in each junior category will each receive a Glaucoma Australia mascot- ‘GOLDIE the Owl’ and a certificate of acknowledgement.
Judges
Judging will be carried out by Ken Done- Australian Artist; Mark Cushway- Editor of Mivision and Assoc. Professor Ivan Goldberg AM, ophthalmologist and President of Glaucoma Australia. The judging panel is subject to change at the Promoter’s discretion. Entries will be judged on their composition, content and creativity and the judges’ decision will be final.
