Who can enter the competition?
The competition is open to Australian residents only. Employees of Allen & Unwin Pty Ltd, anyone else connected to Allen & Unwin, and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
When can people enter the competition?
The competition commences at 10:00 (AEDT) on 17/05/2023 and entries close at 23.59 (AEDT) on 28/05/2023. Any entry received after that date will be ineligible.
How can people enter the competition?
To enter, individuals must answer the question "For your chance to win, tell us why you would like to read Dress Rehearsals." Only one entry per person is allowed.
What is the prize and its total worth?
Five entrants will be selected as winners, with each receiving a copy of Dress Rehearsals by Madison Godfrey. Each prize is valued at AUD $24.99. The total prize value is AUD $124.95.
What rights do entrants assign by submitting an entry?
By submitting an entry, the entrant accepts assigning all rights and interests, including copyright and all other intellectual property rights, to Allen & Unwin. Allen & Unwin reserves the right to edit or alter the entrant's submission.
Can the prize be redeemed for cash?
No, no portion of the prize is redeemable for cash.
How will the winners be selected and contacted?
The prizes will be awarded to the entrants who, in the opinion of the judges, provide the best answers to the question on the competition form. The winners will be contacted via email by 30/05/2023 and will be asked to provide their postal address only. No other information will be requested from the winners.
What happens if the prize is unavailable?
If the prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative prize of similar value to be awarded to the relevant winner(s), subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
Are books permitted for sale?
No, books are not permitted for sale.
Are there any liabilities or responsibilities for the Promoter?
Allen & Unwin shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of taking the prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Allen & Unwin will not accept responsibility for late entries, failed or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind.
