Terms & Conditions
1. The competition is conducted by NSW Crown Holiday Parks Trust (the Trust), ABN 26
087 692 248 of Level 1, 17 Gipps Street, Carrington, NSW 2294 and commences at
6.00pm AEDST 31 March 2017 and closes at 5.00pm AEST on 6 April 2017.
2. The purpose of the competition is to select an appropriate name for the Trust, “NSW
Crown Holiday Parks Trust”, and its group of 36 Holiday Parks - currently trading as
“North Coast Holiday Parks”, South Coast Holiday Parks” and “Inland Waters Holiday
Parks”.
3. Entries will only be accepted via the official online entry form available on the Trust’s
web site www.nswchpt.com.au by 5.00pm AEST on 6 April 2017. Only entries that fulfil
the criteria of the competition will be eligible.
4. The Trust takes no responsibility for any issues associated with website traffic, speed,
unavailability, connection difficulties or any other matters preventing or otherwise
affecting entries from being submitted.
5. The competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner.
6. There will be two (2) names chosen in the first instance. These will be determined by
having the BEST answer to the entry form question “What would you like to call our
Holiday Parks?” as judged by a Trust selection panel. The top two winning names will
be submitted for Market Testing with the final decision being made after the results.
The name proposed by the winning entry will become the name of the NSW Crown
Holiday Parks group, replacing “NSW Crown Holiday Parks Trust”, “North Coast
Holiday Parks”, South Coast Holiday Parks” and “Inland Waters Holiday Parks” and be
awarded Prize 1. The second name with be awarded Prize 2. The Trust’s decision (to
be made at their absolute discretion) is final and binding and no correspondence will
be entered into nor explanation given as to the selection of the winning entry. The Trust
reserves the right not to accept any competition entry if, in its absolute discretion, it
deems that an entry is inappropriate or offensive in any way (including but not limited
to the name nominated by the entrant, and the explanation why the entrant selected
the name).
7. If the Trust does not accept the winning entry, then the winner must not make any
claim or objection against the Trust.
8. The winner will be notified by email or telephone with five (5) business days. If, after
making all reasonable efforts, the Trust cannot locate the prize winner within ten (10)
working days of the Trust’s decision, the prize winner will forfeit their prize.
9. Prize 1 is a three-night cabin stay in one of the Trust’s group of 36 Holiday Parks (of
the winner’s choice) and is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Prize 2 (2nd name
that is Market Tested) is a two-night cabin stay in one of the Trust’s group of 36 Holiday
Parks (of the winner’s choice) and is not transferable or redeemable for cash. The
cabin and booking is subject to availability and is not available during Peak Periods.
The prize (in the form of an ‘all parks’ gift voucher) will be sent by mail within 2 weeks
of contact. Any prizes lost are not the responsibility of the Trust. The prize excludes
travel to and from the chosen holiday park and does not include any other costs
incurred, before, during and after the stay.
10. Competition entrants: a. consent to being interviewed and photographed for media
and promotional purposes; and b. consent to the results of the competition being
announced on the Trust’s web sites.
11. It is a basic condition of entering in, or receipt and acceptance of, this competition that
entrants agree to: a) NSW Crown Holiday Parks Trust (the Trust), ABN 26 087 692
248 forever using the name on the winning entrant’s official entry for the name of its
group of holiday parks; and b) not claim payment for the provision of and continual use
of the name for the parks under the umbrella of management by the Trust or claim any
right to the name of the parks. In this respect, the winner irrevocably grants all right,
title and interest the entrant has to the use of the name to NSW Crown Holiday Parks
Trust free of charge.
12. If more than one identical name is submitted by different entrants and such name is
the winning name, the Trust’s selection panel selected by the Trust will, in their
absolute discretion, select the firstly received valid entry as the winning entry.
13. Entry is open to all past holiday park guests (“North Coast Holiday Parks”, South Coast
Holiday Parks” and “Inland Waters Holiday Parks) who opted into receiving marketing
material and supplied a valid email address in the last 12 months. Entry is also open
to Employees of the NSW Crown Holiday Parks Trust, contractors and park
management and staff (Family exclusions apply).
14. In the event of any dispute as to eligibility for the cabin stay, eligibility will be determined
by the Trust and the Trust’s decision will be final and binding.
15. The competition is not available in conjunction with any other competition or offer by
the Trust.
16. The Trust will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered or incurred by any person
who relies upon the information in any advertisement relating to the competition or
participates in the competition except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law,
nor for any restriction of the Trust’s ability to provide any aspect of the competition as
a result of the act of any third party.
17. The Trust may cancel or make changes to the competition at any time without notice.
Such changes may include shortening or extending the competition period.
18. The Trust collects personal information in order to conduct the competition, to assist
in providing the products or services an individual has requested (if any), and to
improve its products and services. Where an individual has opted into receive
marketing material, the Trust may use personal information for promotional, marketing,
publicity, research and profiling purposes, and may be in touch by any means
(including telephone, email or SMS) at any time to let an individual know about
products, services or promotional activities which may be of interest until the individual
informs the Trust otherwise.
19. The Trust may also share individuals’ information with other persons or entities who
assist it in providing its products or services or running competitions or trade
promotions. The Trust may also disclose personal information to third parties as
required by Australian regulatory authorities.
