Residents in New South Wales, ACT, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia should change their smoke alarm battery when they change their clocks at the end of Daylight Saving (Sunday, April 5). For residents in Queensland, Western Australia and Northern Territory don’t be a fool - change your smoke alarm battery on April Fool’s Day (Wednesday 1 April 2015).
