TERMS OF ENTRY
1. This competition (the “Promotion”) is conducted by Woolworths Limited ABN 88 000 014 675 trading as Big W (“Big W”), 1 Woolworths Way, Bella Vista, NSW 2153 (the “Promoter”).
2. Entry to the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. By entering the Promotion, entrants accept and acknowledge full responsibility for their decision to participate in the Promotion and to take the Prize if they are the winner.
3. All entry instructions and Prize information published by the Promoter form part of these Terms and Conditions.
4. The Promotion is open to all residents of Australia aged eighteen (18) years or over. The Promoter reserves the right to request any entrant to provide documentary evidence confirming his/her age. Employees of Big W, Warner Bros and their associated companies and agents, and the immediate family members of such employees are not eligible to enter the Promotion.
5. The Promotion commences at 09:00 (AEDT) on Monday 20th March 2017 and ends at 23:59 (AEST) on Sunday 16th April 2017 (“Promotion Period”).
ENTRY
6. To enter the Promotion, entrants must:
a. be aged eighteen (18) or over;
b. during the Promotion Period, purchase any one or more The LEGO Batman Movie products to
the value of at least $25 in the same transaction from a participating Big W store or online at
www.bigw.com.au (“Qualifying Purchase”); and
c. visit the competition entry registration page www.prizepromotions.com.au/winatrip and
complete the entry form by providing their name, email address, contact number, address (no
PO Boxes) and receipt/invoice number.
7. Multiple entries are permitted, subject to the following (a) only one (1) entry is permitted per Qualifying Purchase; (b) entries that are submitted multiple times under the same receipt/invoice number will be invalid; (c) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with the entry requirements; and (d) unrecognized receipt/invoice numbers will be deemed invalid.
8. Entrants must: (a) retain a copy of store receipts / online order invoices as proof of purchase for ALL entries; and (b) where an entrant submits more than twenty (20) entries, for each product used for his/her 21st and subsequent entries, the entrant must keep the whole label/packaging from the product purchased and used to enter. Failure to provide such labels/packaging when requested may, in the absolute discretion of the Promoter, render all of an entrant’s entries invalid and forfeit their right to any prize.
9. Entrants can only enter in their own name. Entrants who provide incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information are ineligible to participate in the promotion and all entries of an entrant who is deemed by the Promoter to have provided incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information may, at the discretion of the Promoter, be deemed invalid.
10. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of any and all entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for: (a) tampering with the entry process; (b) submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these conditions of entry; or (c) if the entrant is engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
PRIZE
11. One major Prize will be awarded to one eligible entrant aged eighteen (18) or over.
12. The Prize is valid for a family of four (4) consisting of two (2) adults and two (2) children aged three (3)
years to eleven (11) years and includes:
a three (3) night trip to LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort with two (2) day COMBO passes to both the
theme park and water park, which must be taken during the period 1 May to 31 October 2017; b. return economy flights from the winner’s nearest capital city and Singapore; and
c. transfers to and from Singapore airport and LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort.
13. Redemption of the Prize is subject to availability and may be dependent on travel class availability, specific room category availability and travel ‘blackout’ periods applying (including school holidays and public holidays). All components of the Prize must be taken together and when offered or are forfeited. The Prize winner and their companions (if any) must travel together and depart from and return to the same Australian departure point. The Prize winner and their companion (if any) may not accrue frequent flyer points. No extension or variation of the travel and/or accommodation dates nominated by the Promoter permitted. The Prize cannot be used in conjunction with travel discounts or special offers. Travel and accommodation are to be arranged by a licensed agent nominated by the Promoter.
14. All additional costs not expressly stated as being included, but which may be incurred in acceptance and use of the Prize, are the responsibility of the winner and any companions. In particular, the Prize does not include:
a. meals and beverages, room service, telephone calls, laundry services, spending money;
b. travel insurance;
c. transfers to and from the winner’s nearest Australian airport;
d. any airport departure tax that may be payable; or
e. any costs associated with passports or visas.
15. The total prize pool value of this Promotion is up to $6,000.00 including GST.
16. ThestayatLEGOLANDHotelMalaysiaisawardedintheformofavoucherwhichprovidesa
complimentary three (3) night stay in LEGOLAND Hotel Malaysia’s Standard Themed room with Complimentary breakfast and two (2) day COMBO passes to both the Theme & Water Parks The hotel/park voucher has the following features and requirements:
a. Subject to room availability
b. Advance booking is required at least 2 weeks prior to the date of arrival
c. Cancellation or reschedule of booking must be done 21 days prior to your arrival
d. Check-in time is at 4.00 pm and check-out is at 11.00am
e. Voucher must be presented upon check-in. In the absence of the original voucher, the
management reserve the rights to charge the Best Available Rate based on the date of arrival
f. Voucher is for not re-sale. If the voucher is found for re-sale, the management reserves the right
to cancel the voucher without notification.
g. Voucher is not replaceable, including if it is lost, stolen or torn.
h. Voucher cannot be combined with other promotion
i. Guest will be responsible for any separate charges incurred, such as but not limited to, additional
food and beverage charges, room service, additional occupancy charges, telephone bills etc.
j. The winner will be required to provide their credit card at check-in.
15. The Prize cannot be used in conjunction with travel or accommodation discounts or special offers. Any extension or variation of the travel dates nominated by the Promoter will be at the cost and responsibility of the winner. Any requests to extend or vary travel arrangements must be organised by the winner. Once booked, any changes made to the booking may incur a cancellation or amendment fee, at the cost and responsibility of the winner. This is also to the discretion of the prize suppliers and the Promoter.
16. ThePrizewinnerandanycompanionsmustconductthemselvesinaresponsible,courteousandfriendly manner at all times whilst participating in the Prize. Acceptance of the Prize and participation in the Prize is subject to any prevailing terms and conditions of travel/accommodation/transfers/services suppliers and any other prize suppliers, and in particular responsible consumption of alcohol, behaviour and safety requirements. The Prize winner and any companion must follow all reasonable directions given by the Promoter and any prize supplier during the course of their participation in the Prize The Promoter and any prize supplier reserve the right, in their absolute discretion, to refuse entry into any Prize related venue or location, to disqualify, sanction and/or eject the Prize winner and any companions from any Prize related venue, or to refuse participation in certain activities, on the grounds of inappropriate behaviour, or safety reasons, or for any breach of these conditions of entry generally. If the Prize winner and any companions fail to participate in the Major Prize in an appropriate manner, as stated in this condition and in the
reasonable opinion of the Promoter, their Entry and the balance of the Prize may be forfeited without any
compensation payable.
17. Itisthesoleresponsibilityofthewinnerandanycompanions(andtheparentorlegalguardianofany
companions under the age of 18) to ensure their entry into Malaysia, including ensuring all necessary passports, visas, travel authorisations, medical advice and recommended vaccinations and immunisations have been obtained prior to travel. Failure to do so may result in the Prize being forfeited without any compensation. The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety of Malaysia and it is the responsibility of the winner and any companions to check the travel advice issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade at www.smartraveller.gov.au and assess safety prior to travel.
18. The travel, accommodation and COMBO passes are non-refundable, non-negotiable, and non- transferable. There is no extension on validity of vouchers and tickets issued under the Prize. All tickets and vouchers are not for re-sale. If a ticket or voucher is found to be for re-sale, the prize supplier reserves the right to cancel the ticket or voucher without notification.
19. If the winner and/or their travelling companions are, for whatever reason, unable to travel on a nominated date, or do not take an element of the prize within the time stipulated by the Promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited. Cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize or element thereof.
20. Participants in the Promotion acknowledge that different elements of the Prize are supplied by various partners (Suppliers) and any Supplier reserves the right, in their absolute discretion, to amend the dates or schedule of any element of the Prize without notice. The Promoter and Suppliers accept no responsibility for the cancellation, rescheduling or delay of any element of the Prize for any reason beyond the control of the Promoter or Supplier. All additional costs not expressly stated, but which may be incurred in acceptance and use of the Prize, are the responsibility of the Winner and travelling companion/s.
PRIZE DRAW
21. An electronic random prize draw from all eligible entries received will be conducted at 11:00am (AEST),
20th April 2017 at Big W Support Office, 1 Woolworths Way, Bella Vista, NSW 2153. The winner will be contacted using the email address or phone number supplied as part of the winner’s entry and will be published on www.bigw.com.au from 21st April 2017.
22. If a winner is unable to be contacted or does not claim their Prize within forty-eight (48) hours of being declared the winner, their Prize will be forfeited. The winner must confirm their eligibility to be awarded and accept the Prize within two (2) business days of being successfully contacted and notified by the Promoter that their Entry has been drawn, otherwise their Entry will be deemed invalid.
23. The draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
24. ThePromoterreservestherighttodisqualifyanyentryorentrantthatfailstocomplywiththeseTerms
and Conditions.
25. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, whether caused by infection by
computer virus, mobile phone failure, line drop out, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion, (subject to any written direction given by a relevant Regulatory Authority), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.
26. The Promoter reserves the right to close the competition earlier than advertised and the winner will be drawn from entries received to that time.
27. The personally identifiable information you provide in connection with the Promotion will be collected, stored and used in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, which is available at www.bigw.com.au. If you do not provide us with this information, we cannot process your entry and/or enter you into the Promotion. Big W may use your personal information to enable it to market its products and services to you.
28. Entrants agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Promoter and its officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (the “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any claims made by
the winner, entrants, or any other third parties, related in any way to the operation of this Promotion as well as any other claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any Prize or participation in any Promotion-related activity or participation in this Promotion.
