Promotion is open to Australian residents 18 years and over only. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
Promotion opens for purchases between 8:30am on Monday 18th May, 2020 and 11:59pm AEST on Monday 15th June, 2020 (“Purchase Period”). Promotion opens for entries between 8:30am on Monday 18th May, 2020 and 11:59pm AEST on Monday 22nd June, 2020 (“Entry Period”).
To be eligible to enter, individuals must purchase a valid Valvoline SynPower Full Synthetic 5L SynPower product from a participating Autobarn store nationally during the Purchase Period (“Qualifying Purchase”). Date displayed on proof of purchase (receipt) must fall within the Purchase Period.

To enter, individuals must then visit www.valvolinepromotions.com.au, go to the “You and a Mate Race Cars at Bathurst” promotion tile, follow the prompts, and input the requested details including their valid email address. Entrants must then upload a scanned copy or photo of their Autobarn sales receipt when prompted in the required field (file size must not exceed 1MB) and then submit the fully completed online entry form during the Entry Period.
Entrants must retain their original purchase receipt as proof of purchase. Failure to produce the proof of purchase for all entries when requested may, in the absolute discretion of the Promoter, result in invalidation of ALL of an entrant’s entries and forfeiture of any right to a prize.
The valid entries received will be entitled to a chance to WIN the MAJOR prize. The value of the MAJOR PRIZE is up to AUD $4,898.
Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one (1) entry permitted per Qualifying Purchase; (b) separate transactions must be made on different days; and (c) each entry must meet the Terms and Conditions of this promotion to be deemed as valid.
All entries are subject to verification check by the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of all entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be invalid.
If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, offer suppliers and as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Database of entrants’ details will be shared with ABG (Automotive Brands Group) for use. Entry is conditional on providing this information. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. A request to access, update, or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at its address set out below. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Unless otherwise indicated by the Promoter, the Promoter may disclose PI to entities outside of Australia (for a list of the countries, see the Promoter’s Privacy Policy). Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by an entrant; or (f) taking of the prize.
The draw will take place at Anisimoff Legal, at Erina Plaza, Suite 5, 210 Central Coast Highway, Erina, NSW 2250 on Wednesday 24th June, 2020 at 10:00am AEST. Winner will be selected using electronic random number generation. Winner will be notified in writing by email and by phone within two (2) business days of the draw. Winner must be contactable and accept the prize before the re-draw date to be a valid winner. The winner’s name will be published on the Valvoline Australia social media sites including Facebook from 24th June, 2020. Should an invalid entry be selected, another entry will be generated and verified until a valid entry is drawn and deemed the winner. The Promoter will use reasonable efforts to notify the winner.
The first valid entry drawn will win the major prize of a trip to Bathurst, NSW for two (2) adults including a V8 Race Experience on 30th November 2020 or 1st December 2020. Total prize valued at up to $4,898 depending on point of departure (“Major Prize”).
Major Prize Inclusions:
2 x Fastrack V8 Race Experience tickets at Bathurst*: (One (1) for major prize winner and one (1) for their companion).
Return economy class flights from winner’s nearest Australian state capital city to Sydney for 2 people (only provided if winner resides outside of NSW). If the winner is from NSW, then the prize does not include airfares and the airfare component of the prize is not redeemable for cash.
Transfers to and from Bathurst for two (2) adults;
Total AUD$500 spending money for the winner only; and
2 nights maximum accommodation in Bathurst (30th November, 2020 and 1st December, 2020).*V8 Race Experience Prize is the ‘King of the Mountain Drive – Bathurst’ and must be taken on 30th November 2020 or 1st December 2020.Total Prize value up to AUD $4,898.
If despite reasonable efforts the Promoter is unable to locate or contact the Prize Winner on or before 10:00am AEST on Friday, 25th September, 2020, the winner forfeits the prize and another winner will be drawn. The redraw will take place at the promoter’s agency’s office at at Anisimoff Legal, at Erina Plaza, Suite 5, 210 Central Coast Highway, Erina, NSW 2250 on Friday, 25th September, 2020 at 10:00am AEST. The winner, if any, will be notified in writing by email and by phone within two (2) business days of the draw, and their name will be published on the Valvoline Australia social media sites including Facebook from Friday, 25th September, 2020.
Major Prize is not transferable (unless agreed by the promoter) and must be taken on 30th November 2020 or 1st December 2020.
Unless expressly stated, all other costs and expenses associated with taking the Major Prize become the responsibility of the winner and companion including: a) insurance; b) additional spending money; c) meals; d) additional domestic transport and/or airfares if required; e) any extra sightseeing or activities; f) any additional accommodation; and g) all other incidental and ancillary costs incurred by the winner and/or their travel partner as a direct or indirect result of taking the Major Prize that are not otherwise stated as included in the Major Prize. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize. Prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers. The winner may be required to present their credit card at time of accommodation check in.
In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, pandemic or any other kind of disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion or suspend, substitute or modify a prize, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the prize as stated. The prize is not transferable to another person (unless agreed by the Promoter) or exchangeable for other goods and services and cannot be redeemed as cash. Any element of the prize that is unused will be forfeited and no compensation will be paid in lieu of that element of the prize.
The winner (and travel companion) must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together.
As a condition of accepting the Major Prize, the winner (and any companion) must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter, Fastrack V8 Race Experience and/or organisers, and by accepting the Major Prize, acknowledges that Fastrack V8 race car driving can be a dangerous activity which may result in injury or death, and participates at his/her own risk. The winner and travel companion must (a) attend, undergo, and pass any appropriate tests and/or requirements, training, briefing, safety demonstrations, and/or medical tests (including blood alcohol testing) of the Promoter and Fastrack V8 Race Experience or organisers as determined by them in their absolute discretion; (b) declare to the Promoter and Fastrack V8 Race Experience any health-related issues that may affect his/her safe participation in the Fastrack V8 Race Experience Prize; (c) must not have a heart condition or history thereof, or other medical condition/s that would make it dangerous to participate in the Fastrack V8 Race Experience Prize; (d) must not be under the influence of any drugs or alcohol; (e) must comply with all directions of the Promoter and Fastrack V8 Race Experience and organisers; (f) must wear safety and other equipment required.
Both the winner and their travel companion will be required to sign a liability waiver form upon arrival at the track in order to participate in the Fastrack V8 Race Experience, which means the promoter, Fastrack V8 Race Experience, organisers and the track are exempt from any responsibility should the winners experience any health problems during or after the experience day.
Drivers must be over 18 years old and have a current drivers licence (international licence is accepted) with a minimum P Plate licence (this rule does not apply to passengers). If you are on a suspended licence (no longer than a 2 year suspension) you are able to participate as you are not on a public road. Drivers licence must be brought with you to the track on your drive day. An alcohol and drug free rule applies with a 0.00% blood alcohol level being mandatory.
Drivers must be under 135kg and be 135cm to 194cm tall (Height and Weight Proportioned).

The Promoter reserves the right in their absolute discretion to (a) refuse to allow the winner to take part in the Fastrack V8 Race Experience Prize if they reasonably believe the winner poses a safety risk or for any other reason in their absolute discretion; (b) may cancel the Fastrack V8 Race Experience Prize if the conditions are deemed dangerous. If the Fastrack V8 Race Experience Prize is varied for any reason beyond the control of the Promoter or Fastrack V8 Race Experience it may not be rescheduled and in which case, no compensation will be offered.
The Promoter and/or Fastrack V8 Race Experience reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner (and/or travel companion) to take part in any part or all aspects of the Major Prize, if the Promoter determines in their absolute discretion that a winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the prize.
