Terms and Conditions of Entry
1. Promoter
The Promoter is Village Cinemas Australia Pty Ltd ACN 006 735 002 of Level 1, 500 Chapel Street, South Yarra Victoria 3141 (the Promoter).
2. Who may enter
The only persons who may enter and be awarded the prize are:
(a) residents of Victoria who are at least 18 years of age; and
(b) who are not employees of the Promoter, Kanuanu Pty Ltd ABN 94 162 302 221 trading as Horizon Solar (Horizon Solar) or their respective related bodies corporate, or the immediate family of such employees. “Immediate family” means spouse, parent, child or sibling, whether or not they live in the same household as the employee.
3. 3. Conditions of Entry
By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
4. 4. How to Enter
Complete all fields in the online entry form at villagecinemas.com.au/competitions/horizon-solar-June2018 during the competition duration. By entering you agree to be contacted by Horizon Solar for marketing purposes. You may only enter once for one entry in the draw per entry form. Any cost associated with accessing the competition website is your responsibility and is dependent upon the internet service provider used.
5. 5. Duration
The competition commences at 9am EST on Thursday, 28th June 2018 and closes at 11.59pm EST on Wednesday, 11th July 2018.
6. 6. Selection of winners
The competition is a game of chance. The Major Prize draw will take place at the office of the Promoter at Level 1, 500 Chapel Street, South Yarra Victoria 3141 at 11am EST on Thursday, 12th July 2018. The Promoter’s decision in relation to every aspect of the competition is final and binding on every entrant. No correspondence will be entered into.
7. 7. Prize
The first entry drawn will win a Village Cinemas Gold Class screening comprising:
A Gold Class screening for up to 32 people at one of the following Village Cinemas Gold Class locations: Crown, Doncaster, Fountain Gate, Jam Factory, Karingal, Knox, Plenty Valley, Rivoli, Southland, Sunshine or Werribee. The approximate prize value is $3,200 and includes film hire, tickets and a food and beverage package. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize. The winner may choose to order additional food and beverage at their cost. The prize is not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash and must be redeemed by 30 December 2018. In the event that the prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. The prize value is the recommended retail value at the time of printing. Any incidental costs relating to the prize are the responsibility of the prize winner.
8. 8. Notification of winners
Prize winners will be notified by email and phone on Thursday, 12th July 2018. Should the prize winner be uncontactable via these means, the Promoter will hold the prize for one week after the draw. If the prize remains unclaimed at the end of this period, the Promoter will conduct an unclaimed prize draw at 11am EST on Monday, 23rd July 2018 at the same location as the original draw. The winner of the redraw will be notified by email and phone on Monday, 23rd July 2018.
9. 9. Entries
All entries become the property of the Promoter. Entries not completed in accordance with the conditions of entry or received after the closing date will not be considered. Indecipherable or incomplete entries will be disregarded. No responsibility is taken for late or misdirected email.
10. 10. Publication of names
The Promoter reserves the right to announce or publish the winner’s name and/or photograph for publicity purposes. The winner’s personal information may be disclosed to State departments and published as required by the relevant legislation regulating trade promotions.
11. 11. Privacy

12. 12. Conduct of competition
If for any reason the competition does not run for its duration due to a computer virus, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or has engaged in conduct to jeopardize the fair and proper conduct of the competition. The Promoter is not responsible for any:
(a) malfunction, delay or traffic congestion on any communication network or line, computer on-line system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, or website;
(b) failure of any SMS, email or entry to be received by the Promoter; nor
(c) any injury or damage to entrants or any other person related to or resulting from participation in the competition or downloading any materials in a competition.
13. 13. Limitation of liability
The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any goods or services offered as prizes or offered by Horizon Solar. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its related bodies corporate, employees and agents are not liable for any loss suffered to person or property by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, its related bodies corporate, Horizon Solar or their employees or agents, in connection with the arrangement for the supply, or the supply, of goods and services by any person to the prize winner and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the prize winner. This clause does not affect any rights a consumer may have which are unable to be excluded under Australian law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter, its related bodies corporate or their employees or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the costs of having the prize supplied again.
