Well, if you head on down to your local Aldi store (and I mean like, yesterday - literally), you could be lucky enough to chance upon the very latest addition to the GoldieBlox family - the GoldieBlox Builder's Survival Kit which is available exclusively at ALDI stores from Wednesday the 22nd of July. Excitement huh! (Okay, I can hear some of you thinking - Whoa slow down! What are we on about here?) GoldieBlox, if you're unfamiliar, is a spectacular building concept toy designed specifically for girls. If you've been hovering around my page here for a while now, you may recall this fab toy featured in a review here in the past and you can read up on it as a refresher here. GoldieBlox is the brainchild of a real-life female engineer, Debbie Sterling, who decided that the offerings in the toy aisle for girls needed a good shake-up - because girls like to build too. (There's a strong notion out there that building toys are exclusively for boys isn't there? Nuh-Uh!) GoldieBlox fills the building toy void by being attractive to girls in colour, concept and features. Goldie herself is cool, confident and retro-styled and her building sets encourage problem solving with character, colour and flair, all the while persuading girls to 'give it a go.'
