Regional Showcase 2018 Voting Terms & Conditions
General Entry Terms and Conditions:
- Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry. Entry is via Internet only.
- Upon voting, entrants will be automatically subscribed to the Brand South Australia mailing list. This is a condition of participation. Once subscribed, voters can update their email preferences to suit their interests, or unsubscribe at any time via the prompts on all of Brand South Australia email newsletters.
- All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects personal information about entrants to include entrants in the promotion and where appropriate award prizes. By participating in the promotion, each entrant also acknowledges that a further primary purpose for collection of entrants’ personal information by the Promoter is to become a subscriber & will receive weekly eNews from Brand SA News. By entering the promotion, each entrant agrees that the Promoter may use entrants’ personal information in this manner. All personal information will be stored at the office of the Promoter. A copy of the Promoter’s Privacy Policy in relation to the treatment of personal information collected may be obtained by contacting the Promoter.
- Any costs associated with accessing the promotional website remain the responsibility of each entrant and are dependant on the Internet service provider. Any contact details entered incorrectly on the website shall be deemed invalid and result in an ineligible entry.
- Entry is free and open to anyone who fulfils the entry criteria below. The directors, management and employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter (Brand South Australia) are ineligible to enter the promotion.
- To enter in this promotion, eligible entrants must be residents of South Australia. Entrants must visit regionalshowcase.live, and complete in full the online entry form to the specified guidelines during the voting period. In order to fully complete their entry, eligible entrants will be required to provide a valid email address, their first name, last name, and postcode and agree to any conditions of entry. Answers to the questions must be provided in English. Entrants will then be required to vote on their favourite South Australian Regional Story for 2018 from the list provided.
- Multiple entries are not permitted, for verification and security purposes only one entry is permitted per email address.
- Internet entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission. Entries received will be considered final by the Promoter. Incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the promotional period. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
- Whenever the Promoter collects, and otherwise deals with an entrants personal information, they are governed by the South Australian Government’s Information Privacy Principles. For more information and a copy of these guidelines, visit the Privacy law in South Australia web page.
- The promotional period commences at 9:00am (ACST) on 1 August 2018 and closes at 5pm (ACST) on 31 August 2018.
- Five voters will be selected as the winners. There are five prizes in total.
- The selected entry that will win the X4 VIP Royal Adelaide Show tickets will take place on Friday 17 August 2018 at the Brand South Australia Office, Aston House Level 1/15 Leigh Street Adelaide, South Australia 5000, prior to voting closing. The selection of the winning entries from each voter is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winners will be the first entry electronically selected from those valid entries per voter (using Short Stack software).
- The selection of the additional four winning entries will take place on Monday 3 September 2018 at the Brand South Australia Office, Aston House Level 1/15 Leigh Street Adelaide, South Australia 5000. The selection of the winning entries from each voter is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winners will be the first entry electronically selected from those valid entries per voter (using Short Stack software).
- The prize winners will be notified by 5pm Monday 3 September via phone or email using the details provided by the winners at the time of entry. In the event that any of the winning entrants are ineligible or unable to accept the prize in accordance with these terms and conditions the prize will be offered to the second drawn entrants and finally the third drawn entrants.
- Persons under the age of 18 are ineligible to enter.
- Entrants can only enter in their own name. The winners must provide identification to the Promoter’s sole satisfaction within seventy two hours of being notified of winning in order to confirm the winners’ identity, age, residential address and email address and eligibility to enter, before issuing a prize. If the documentation required by the Promoter is not received by the Promoter (or its nominated agent) or the winning entry has not been verified or validated to the Promoter’s satisfaction within the time requested, that winner’s entry will become invalid.
- The total prize pool is valued at $3777.50 AUD (Recommended Retail Price including GST). Prize values are those quoted at the time these terms and conditions were written and are subject to change. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.
- The Promoter will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with, this promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoter including without limitation technical malfunctions or failures. If any prize(s) become unavailable for any reason beyond the Promoter’s control then a similar prize of equal or greater value will be awarded to the winner in lieu.
- Prize values are the recommended retail value. If the prizes are unavailable for any reason whatsoever, the Promoter and/or the Prize Sponsors/Suppliers reserve(s) the right to substitute the prize – or any component of the prize – for a prize of similar value.
- The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
- Caution: any attempt to cause malicious damage or interference with the normal functioning of the promotion website or the information on the website, or to otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, whether successful or not, the Promoter reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. If the Promoter suffers loss or incurs any costs in connection with any breach of these conditions of entry or any other legal obligation by an entrant, the entrant agrees to indemnify the promoter for those losses, damages and costs.
- The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone or network or lines, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on a mobile network, or any combination thereof, or any other technical failures including any damage to entrant’s or any other person’s mobile handset or computer related to, or resulting from, participation in this promotion or the downloading of any materials related to this promotion.
- If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, subject to any written directions under State or Territory legislation.
