Terms and conditions
- Instructions on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years and over. Employees of the Promoter, associated agencies and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.
- Only one entry per person will be permitted.
- The promotion commences on July 10th, 2017 and closes August 6th, 2017 (AEDST 5.00pm). The judging will be done by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter. The judging will take place at Women’s Fitness Media PTY LTD at 59 Buckingham Street Surry Hills and will begin on August 7th, 2017. The winner will be notified by telephone and in writing using the contact details given in their entry.
- To enter, individuals must go to the Women’s Fitness competition website http://www.womensfitness.com.au/categories/winand follow the prompts to the win page and fill in the entry form including full name, address, current email address, date of birth, daytime telephone number and answer to the competition question in 25 words or less: “Why do you want to go on one of these walks”, and to select which Great Walks of Australia trek they wish to go on, including Margaret River Cape to Cape Walk, WA, Classic Larapinta Trek in Comfort, NT, The Arkaba Walk, SA, The Murray River Walk, SA, Scenic Rim Trail, QLD, Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk, VIC, The Maria Island Walk, TAS, Freycinet Experience Walk, TAS, Cradle Mountain Huts Walk, TAS, Bay of Fires Lodge Walks, TAS, Seven Peaks Walk, and Lord Howe Island, NSW, and submit the entry as instructed.
- This is a game of skill, chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on its literary and creative merit of the answer to the question provided. The judges’ decision in relation to any aspect of the competition will be final and binding on every person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into.
- The Entrant warrants to the Promoter that the entry submitted is an original artistic work of the Entrant that does not infringe the rights of any third parties. If the entry or any part of the information provided to the Entrant in relation to the entry was provided by a third party, the Entrant warrants that they have obtained the relevant copyright permission to submit the entry for the purposes of this promotion. The entrant agrees to indemnify the promoter against all claims and costs by third parties arising from a breach of the warranty set out in this condition.
- The Promoter is entitled to use any of the entries submitted in any manner and for any purpose at its absolute discretion, including using the entries for future promoter’s or their agents book publications, promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment or other compensation to the entrant. The promoter is entitled to amend, edit, select, crop, retouch, add to or delete from any part of the submitted entry.
- Entries must not be offensive, defamatory or racist. Any entry which the judges deem inappropriate will be invalid. The entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter.
- The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
- Winner is entitled to one (1) free place on a walk of their choice of 11 Great Walks of Australia treks, as listed in point 5 with return domestic (economy) airfares (no substitutions), valid for Seasons 17/18, provided that a minimum of four paying passengers are confirmed on such departure. The walk includes accommodation, walk transfers, food and guides. On most walks, not all, this includes wine and loan of backpack/rain jacket.
- Winner must be 18 years of age or older in order to claim the prize.
- Prize excludes optional or additional services such as any airfare not expressly included in the itinerary, transfers, pre- or post-tour accommodation, insurance, amendments, and all incidentals, meals, gratuities, taxes, fees, levies, and transportation not expressly included in the itinerary.
- The prize includes domestic economy airfare from nearest capital city airport but not any associated fees or levies. Prize: i) is subject to availability and season openings, ii) is valid on new bookings only, iii) may not be combined with any other offer or discount, iv) has no cash value, v) is not transferrable, vi) is not eligible for “Lifetime Deposit” nor “Guaranteed Departure,” vii) cannot be exchanged by the Winner, viii) no prize or flight transfers, and no cash refunds.
- Winner will be put in contact with a Great Walks of Australia representative who will facilitate the booking of their prize tour. Passport, visa, and vaccination procurement and costs are the sole responsibility of the winner.
- Prize is subject to the Winner agreeing to G Adventures’ booking terms and conditions, found here: gadventures.com/terms-conditions-policies/. Please note that mandatory medical insurance, at the cost of the Winner, is required for participation.

- The winner (and their companion) are responsible for all other expenses including spending money, meals (unless specified), drinks, transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless specified), incidentals, energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges and all other ancillary costs.
- It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be requested to present their credit card or a cash deposit upon arrival at any accommodation to cover all incidentals they may incur during their stay.
