The following Terms and Conditions apply to the Samsonite Australia & New Zealand (on behalf of
American Tourister Australia & New Zealand) ‘Discover the Unknown’ Competition (the
“Competition”):

ABOUT THE COMPETITION
1. The Competition is run by Samsonite Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 310 063 63 248) of 5 Anzed Court,
Mulgrave Victoria 3170. Telephone (03) 9549 3444.
2. The Competition opens at 10:00am (AEST) on Thursday, 12th January 2017 (the “Opening Date”)
and closes at 17:00 (AEST) on Friday, 17th February 2017 (the “Closing Date”).
3. The Competition consists of four (4) minor prizes and one (1) major prize.
4. The competition will be hosted on my.americantouster.com.au. In order to enter the Competition
entrants are required to enter their Full name, email, phone, date of birth, State, Link to their
Instagram handle and upload a photo/video of their favourite travel picture. All entrants must agree
to the terms and conditions of the promotion.
5. Entry to the competition is based on a game of skill not game of chance.

ELIGIBILITY
6. The Competition is only open to Entrants currently residing in Australia and New Zealand and are
aged 18 years or over. The Competition is specifically closed to employees of Samsonite Australia
and New Zealand, any associated companies, their agencies and their immediate families and
anyone else connected with the creation and administration of the promotion.
7. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this
promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse,
de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent,
grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister
or 1st cousin.
8. The competition is limited to one entry per person. No entries shall be accepted before the
Opening Date or after the Closing Date. Third party or bulk entries will not be accepted and entries
not in accordance with the entry instructions are invalid.
9. Your entry must not disparage Samsonite or any other party affiliated with the promotion or
administration of the Competition. Samsonite Australia & New Zealand reserves the right, at its sole
discretion, to disqualify any entry which it believes is in breach of this clause.
10. Entrants must directly upload their image to the competition page. Samsonite Australia and New
Zealand holds the right to reject entries which will not be considered as an entry. Samsonite
Australia & New Zealand does not accept any responsibility for any Entries not being properly
recorded or received. Samsonite Australia & New Zealand does not accept any responsibility for any
network congestion, technical failure or other problem which results in any Entries not being
properly recorded or received.
11. NO PURCHASE OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO TAKE PART IN THIS COMPETITION. You do not
have to buy or own any American Tourister product in order to enter this Competition.

PRIZES
12. The Minor Prizes:
A total of four (4) winners will be selected for the minor prize component. Each winner will be able
to select one (1) travel companion. The minor prize consists of a day of travel within Australia
interacting with American Tourister product and undergoing various different activities decided and
planned by American Tourister.
Each winner will be sent to the selected destination in individual bursts. Dates will be decided by
American Tourister and finalised with the competition winners once the competition commences.
Travel will occur between the dates of 1st March – June 30th 2017.
Minor Prize Product pool:
 x 2 American Tourister Backpack RRP $80 AUD each
 x 2 American Tourister Neck Pillow RRP $30 AUD each
 Cab Charge $300 AUD each travelling pair
 x 2 Return flights to selected destinations within Australia $650 AUD each approx.
 Other expenses inclusive of main meals and activities $1,000 AUD total for eight travellers
 Total minor prize pool value = $8,280 AUD
Full details of the minor prize component:
 Eight (8) x return economy airfares from Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney or Melbourne. If the
selected winner(s) and his/her companion do not reside in one of the above cities, it is their
responsibility to make travel arrangements to the selected departure airport.
 Flights are subject to availability and travel dates will be decided and planned by American
Tourister. All applicants must agree with the itinerary set and selected travelling dates prior to
accepting the prize. If these dates do not work for the winner(s), and an alternative date cannot
be agreed upon then another entrant will be manually selected by the promotor.
 Each traveller agrees to post a minimum of five (5) photo/videos to their Instagram account
using the American Tourister hashtag #mytourister and tagging @americantourister_au.
American Tourister backpacks must be clearly featured in a minimum of two (2) posts from the
trip.
 If the entrants Instagram profile is set to private the entrant must directly upload to
my.americantouster.com.au.
 All entrants are required to send across a minimum of 10 photos/videos of the trip to the
promotor via Dropbox or email within one (1) week of the travel dates.
13. The Major Prize: American Tourister ‘Urban Traveller’
This major prize will be selected based on the minor prize winner’s interactions with American
Tourister on social media and the content generated within the promotional period (skill). This will
include the following:
 1 x Flight Centre Voucher valued at $1,000 AUD
 1 x American Tourister Curio 75cm Suitcase RRP: $339 AUD each
Total major prize value = $1339 AUD
i. Spending money, additional meals, taxes (excluding airline and airport taxes), additional insurance,
passports, transport to and from departure point, items of a personal nature and all other ancillary
costs are not included.
ii. Flight Centre Travel Group Gift Cards – Terms of Use
These terms apply to all gift cards and electronic vouchers issued by or on behalf of Flight Centre
Travel Group (“FCTG”) trading as “Flight Centre”, “Student Flights”, “Escape Travel”, “Travel
Associates” or “Cruiseabout” (each a “Gift Card”). By purchasing, redeeming or attempting to
redeem a Gift Card, you agree to the following terms.
1. Gift Cards are redeemable at participating FCTG retail stores located within Australia.
2. Unless otherwise stated on the Gift Card, Gift Cards are valid for use within 12 months from the
date of issue.
3. Gift Cards may only be applied up to the maximum value loaded onto the Gift Card which is
unspent at the time of use. Where the cost of purchase exceeds the available balance of the Gift
Card, the excess amount must be paid by another payment method.
4. Gift Cards may be redeemed in whole or part during the validity period. Where used in part, no
change will be given. Any unused balance may be used against future purchases, but will not be
refunded or credited when the Gift Card expires.
5. Gift Cards cannot be reloaded.
6. Gift Cards may not be redeemed or exchanged for cash, traveller’s cheques, cash passports or any
other form of currency.
7. You are responsible for the use and security of your Gift Card. Lost or stolen Gift Cards may not be
replaced or refunded. You are liable for all transactions on your Gift Card except those caused by
fraud or negligence by FCTG or its employees.
8. Defaced, mutilated or altered Gift Cards may not be accepted, replaced or refunded.
9. Gift Cards may not be used for payment of credit or retailer accounts.
10. Personal information collected in relation to your Gift Card will be handled in accordance with
FCTG’s Privacy Policy which is available at www.flightcentre.com.au or in store.
11. The laws of Australia apply to these terms and conditions and any disputes arising in relation to
them.
12. Questions or problems relating to Gift Cards should be directed to FCTG’s Gift Cards department
on gift_cards@flightcentre.com or (03) 9026 3859. Complaints about purchases made with a Gift
Card should be resolved directly with the store concerned.
iii. The minor prize winner(s) and his/her travel companion are responsible for ensuring that they have
valid travel documentation. The winner and his/her travel companion must depart from and return to
the same departure point and travel together. Itinerary to be determined by the Promoter in its
absolute discretion. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize. Prize is subject to the
standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers.
iv. Minor prize winners must agree to be responsible for representing American Tourister as temporary
brand ambassadors for a period of six (6) months starting from the competition commencement date.

WINNERS
14. The Competition will have four (4) Minor Prize Winners, One (1) Major Prize. Minor & major
prize winners will be determined based on a game of skill. All decisions are final and no
correspondence shall be entered into.
15. Minor prize winners will be chosen by a panel of judges, which shall include Samsonite Australia
& New Zealand representatives (the “Panel”). The minor prize winners will be selected between 6

the American Tourister Australia and New Zealand Facebook page – no later than 5pm Tuesday 28th
February 2017 at Samsonite Australia - 5 Anzed Court, Mulgrave VICTORIA.
16. Major prize winner will be chosen by a panel of judges, which shall include Samsonite Australia &
New Zealand representatives (the “Panel”). The major prize winner will be selected between 1

April 2017 (subject to change) at Samsonite Australia - 5 Anzed Court, Mulgrave VICTORIA. The
major prize winner will be announced on the American Tourister Australia and New Zealand
Facebook page no later than 5pm Friday 21
th April 2017 (subject to change) at Samsonite Australia -
5 Anzed Court, Mulgrave VICTORIA.
18. Both the minor and major prize winner(s) shall be initially contacted by e-mail and/or telephone.
All Winners are given one (1) week to accept and claim their prize. If the winner(s) does not respond
within this time, Samsonite Australia & New Zealand reserves the right to select another winner
from the remaining eligible entries. A draw for any unclaimed minor prizes, will take place at 11am
on the 27th of February 2017, at 5 Anzed Court, Mulgrave, subject to any directions from a regulatory
authority. The winner(s), if any, will be notified by telephone and email.
19. The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with
Facebook. Entrants are providing their information to Samsonite Australia & New Zealand and not to
Facebook.
20. Samsonite Australia & New Zealand will arrange for delivery of the Prize to each Winner at an
agreed Australian or New Zealand address. Once each Winner has been notified please allow thirty
(30) days for delivery from the date on which an address is provided to Samsonite Australia & New
Zealand.
21. Samsonite Australia & New Zealand shall not be liable for any claims or complaints of any nature
with respect to the Prize. Winners may not choose alternative sizes, colours or models. There is no
cash alternative and the Prize is not negotiable, transferable or returnable.
22. The Winners agree not to sell, offer to sell or use the Prize for any commercial or promotional
purposes (including the Prize on an internet auction site).
23. By entering this Competition, Entrants expressly authorise Samsonite Australia & New Zealand,
without further consideration, to transmit, reproduce, communicate and broadcast Entries on
American Tourister Australia & New Zealand’s social media channels for the purposes of presenting
and promoting the Competition (“Marketing”).
24. The Winners agree to take part in post-Competition publicity at the request of Samsonite
Australia & New Zealand. By entering the Competition, Entrants agree to American Tourister’s
unrestricted use of any post-Competition publicity for American Tourister’s own purposes in all
activities, without limitation, marketing and promotional activities worldwide including use on the
American Tourister websites and social media channels.
25. Information regarding personal data provided in the Entry will be held and processed in a
database for the purpose of managing entry into the Competition. The information will not be used
for any other purpose than as stated in these Terms & Conditions or as separately accepted by you.
If you have opted in to receive to receive communications from Samsonite Australia & New Zealand
or any other party (partners) as part of this entry then your personal data may be used by them for
such purposes, including direct marketing.
26. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event
they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an
unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any
outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
27. By uploading your photo/video/media you give full permission to American Tourister to use this
photo/video/blog/media indefinitely for marketing and promotional purposes, online or otherwise
including across any other marketing medium at American Tourister Australia and New Zealand’s
sole discretion and at no cost to American Tourister Australia and New Zealand.
28. By uploading your photo/video/media you agree that the image, video or content that you are
uploading is your property and you have full rights to use and distribute.
29. By uploading your photo/video/blog/media you declare that you have the permission of all
individual(s) captured in the photo to share and publish their image.
30. American Tourister has full rights to decline your photo/video/media if it is deemed
inappropriate or offensive in any way.
31. American Tourister has full rights to approve or decline the photo/blog/media. American
Tourister’s decision is final and no further correspondence shall be entered into.
32. Any photo/video/media uploaded must not contain any defamatory, offensive, inappropriate,
dangerous or illegal content.

GENERAL
33. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants
(including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who
submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the
entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the
Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
34. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to invalidate any entries which it reasonably
suspects have been submitted using false, incorrect, fraudulent or misleading information, including
but not limited to personal details and contact information that have been submitted through the
use of multiple identities, email addresses or accounts.
35. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid
36. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole
discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
37. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
38. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to
cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion or suspend or modify a prize, subject to any
written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
39. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take a prize (or
an element of the prize), and then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.
40. If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right
to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification,
subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
41. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be
taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.
42. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness and image in the event they are a
winner (including photograph) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the
purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products
manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
43. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably
anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not
limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right,
in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b)
subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or
cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
44. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or
modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as
well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the
States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot
by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective
officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury;
or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or
consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
45. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable
Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible
for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage
(including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way
out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s
control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim
that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the
Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in
prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or
entrant; or (f) participation in a prize.
46. As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner must sign any legal documentation as and in the
form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not
limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
47. The laws of Australia apply to this promotion to the exclusion of any other law. Entrants submit
to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
48. Any personal data that you provide will be held and processed in accordance with the
requirements of the 1998 Data Protection Act.
49. Samsonite Australia & New Zealand reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions
and/or cancel the Competition at its sole discretion.
