IGA March Madness Giveaway Terms & Conditions – Trade Promotion
1. Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
2. Entry is open to residents of Australia who are 18 years and over. Directors, management, employees and their immediate families, of the Promoter, retailers, suppliers, associated entities and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
3. The promotion commences at 00.01 Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time (“AEDT”) on Wednesday 08/03/2017 and closes at 23.59 AEST on Tuesday 04/04/2017 (“Promotional Period”)
4. To enter you must:
(a) complete a transaction valued at $20 (inclusive of GST) or more (excluding tobacco, liquor, fuel, lottery and gift card purchases) from a participating Supa IGA, IGA or IGA X-press store during the Promotional Period;
(b) receive and retain a clear copy of your original purchase receipt as proof of purchase during the Promotional Period; and
(c) visit iga.com.au/madness during the Promotional Period to enter. You will be prompted to provide contact details (including entrant’s name, email address, phone number, store of purchase and receipt details.
5. Foodland IGA stores will not participate in this trade promotion.
6. Multiple entries up to 5 per day, will be accepted, however, each entry must be submitted as a separate entry and must relate to a separate purchase receipt.
7. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the promotion database and NOT at the time of transmission by the entrant. Any entry that is lodged by automatic, repetitive, robotic, programmed or similar entry methods or agents, including the use of a competition entry service, will be void.
Prize Draws
8. There are a total of four hundred and ten (410) prize draws which will be awarded at the end of the Promotional Period. Each draw will be conducted at 14:00 AEDT on Wednesday, 5 April 2017 at Salmat Digital, Level 2, 116 Miller Street, North Sydney NSW 2060.
9. For minor prizes – All entries during the Promotional Period will go into the draw for the minor prizes of four hundred (400) x $100 IGA Gift cards, Entrants may win more than once if they have made multiple entries. Each minor prize is valid for twelve (12) months from the date of issue. Any additional items related to the prize but are not covered by the prize value are the cost of the winner. Prizes may also be subject to the terms and conditions of third parties.
For major prizes - All entries during the Promotional Period will go into the draw for the main prizes of ten (1) x one (1) $15,000.00 Qantas Travel Voucher one (1) $1,000.00 prepaid Visa card. Entrants may only win one (1) major prize even if they have made multiple entries. Each major prize is valid for twelve (12) months from the date of issue. Any additional items related to the prize but are not covered by the prize value are the cost of the winner. Prizes may also be subject to the terms and conditions of third parties including, but not limited to, Qantas Airways Limited ACN 009 661 901 and Visa Pty. Ltd. ACN 079 169 172.

Further Terms & Conditions
11. All taxes (including GST) which may be payable as a consequence of receiving a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. The winner may wish to seek independent financial advice as to any tax implications arising as a result of accepting the prize.
12. Prizes will be delivered to winners within 14 days of the close of the Promotional Period.
13. Winners will be notified in writing by email within 2 days of the draw by the Promoter, and published on the website iga.com.au/madness The names of the winners will be published in The Australian on Friday, 14th April 2017.
14. If necessary, a second chance draw will be held on Wednesday, 5th July 2017 at the same time and place as the first draw in order to distribute any unclaimed prizes. Winners will be notified in writing by email within 2 days of the draw by the Promoter and published on the website iga.com.au/madness and in The Australian on Friday, 14th July 2017.
15. Prizes are not variable or transferable. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding - no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if illegitimate, forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.
16. In the event that any prize (or any part of the prize) becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize (or the relevant part of a prize) with a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any written directions from the various lottery authorities.
17. The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of winners and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions, or who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this promotion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
18. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered (even if caused by negligence) as a result of accepting and/or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
19. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, then the Promoter may (where necessary with the approval of the relevant lottery authority) modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the promotion.
20. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event that they are a winner in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
Privacy
21. The Promoter complies with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Entries remain the property of the Promoter. Details from entries will be collected and used for the purposes of conducting this competition (which may include disclosure to third parties for the purpose of processing and conducting the competition) and for promotional purposes surrounding this competition. By entering this competition entrants consent to the use of their information as described and as set out in the Promoter’s privacy policy (available at iga.com.au/privacy or metcash.com/legal/privacy-policy ), and agree that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional, publicity purposes and (if the entrant has consented) marketing without any further reference or payment to the entrant.
