Qantas Cash ‘Win a trip to London’ Promotion Terms and Conditions
1) Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. Headings in this document are included for ease of reference, and do not affect interpretation in any way.
2) The promoter is Qantas Airways Limited (ABN 16 009 661 901) of 10 Bourke Road, Mascot, NSW 2020 (13 11 31) (Promoter).
Duration
3) All references to time in this document are a reference to the local time in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on the date stated. The promotion commences at 12:01am on Wednesday 1 February 2017 and closes at 11:59pm on Tuesday 28 February 2017 (Promotion Period).
Eligibility to enter
4) Entry into the promotion is open only to Australian residents who are Qantas Frequent Flyer members, are 18 years of age or older, are eligible to receive the Qantas Card with the option of Qantas Cash as set out in Clause 5 and have successfully activated the Qantas Cash facility (Eligible Entrants), excluding directors, management, employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate and registered travel companions of employees of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate.
5) To be eligible to receive the new Qantas Card with the option of Qantas Cash you must be an Australian resident Qantas Frequent Flyer member 16 years of age or older. Heritage Bank Limited (AFSL 240984) (the Issuer) issues Qantas Cash under arrangements between it, Qantas and MasterCard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Limited (AFSL 386837) (a MasterCard business). MasterCard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Limited distributes Qantas Cash (together with Qantas which is an authorised representative of MasterCard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Limited for the purposes of providing general financial product advice with respect to Qantas Cash). MasterCard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Limited can be contacted at customercare@qantascash.com. MasterCard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Limited and Qantas earn foreign exchange revenue from Qantas Cash transactions. MasterCard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Limited receives a processing fee from domestic Qantas Cash "point of sale" transactions. Qantas receives revenue generated by Qantas Cash transactions based on interchange fees paid to the Issuer, deposits held by the Issuer, cardholder fee and certain rebates and incentives from MasterCard Asia/Pacific Pte Ltd. This promotion has been prepared without taking into account your objectives, financial situation or needs and you should consider the appropriateness of the Qantas Cash facility having regard to those matters. A Product Disclosure Statement in respect of Qantas Cash is available via qantascash.com. A person should obtain and consider the PDS before making any decisions about whether to acquire or continue to hold the prepaid facility.
Entry into the promotion
6) Eligible Entrants will get one entry into the competition when, during the Promotion Period, they:
a) register for the competition by one of the following methods:
(i) online by submitting their details at qantascash.com/london; or
(ii) by clicking on the ‘Register now’ link contained in an email sent to Qantas Frequent Flyer members promoting the competition and following the instructions; and
b) successfully apply to activate Qantas Cash.
7) The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late or misdirected entries.
8) Multiple entries are not permitted.
9) The time of entry will be deemed to be the time the entry is received by the Promoter.
10) The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and Eligible Entrants (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Drawing of entries
11) The draw will take place at 2:00pm on Tuesday 21 March 2017 at MDSA, 15 Grosvenor Street, Neutral Bay, NSW 2089. The draw will be conducted by MDSA (Drawer).
12) The result of the draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The prize
13) The maximum total prize pool value is AU$20,151.28, based on the recommended retail value and exchange rate at the time of publishing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prizes.
14) The prize is a trip for two people to London including:
o Return Qantas Economy flights from the winner’s nearest Australian capital city to London Heathrow (includes flights and associated taxes)
o Total of AU$5,000 in GBP equivalent in Qantas Cash prizes (as per exchange rate on the day the prize money is transferred) as follows:
a) AU$2,500 in GBP equivalent loaded onto the winner’s card
b) AU$2,500 in GBP equivalent loaded onto the selected travel companion’s card
o Luxury return transfers from the airport to your London Hotel
o 7 night’s accommodation at the 5 star Corinthia Hotel, in a Superior King room (including breakfast)
o Tickets to a West End Theatre production with pre-show dinner and drinks up to a maximum value of AU$1,000 equivalent in GBP.
o Travel must be completed by 30 November 2017. Blackout dates apply as per clause 17.
15) The prize includes GST and taxes included in the price of the ticket. Unless otherwise stated, the prize does not include travel insurance, passports, visas, meals, taxes not included in the price of the ticket, ground transportation, flights, accommodation or any other costs of a personal nature. Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the prize-winner and their travel companion. The travel companion must be aged 18 years or older. To redeem the Qantas Cash prize, the winner’s travel companion will need to make sure the Qantas Cash facility on their Qantas Card is activated. In the event the companion’s activation request is declined, the prize money will be transferred to the winner’s facility. The Qantas Cash prize will be equivalent to a total of AU$5,000 equivalent in GBP based on the exchange rate at the time the winner’s and their travel companion’s cards are both activated and the prize fulfilment can occur. The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. Prize travel is subject to Qantas’ General Conditions of Carriage.
16) Prize travel and accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking. The winners and their companion must travel together on all prize travel and will not accrue Qantas Points on any element of the prize. An upgrade cannot be purchased on airfares with cash or redeemed using Qantas Points.
17) Prize travel and accommodation must be booked by 30 June 2017 and taken by 23 November 2017. Blackout dates apply: 26 March 2017 – 25 April 2017, 24 June 2017 – 16 July 2017 and 16 September 2017 - 8 October 2017. Prize travel, accommodation and experiences must be completed by 30 November 2017.
18) The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the prize as stated. The Prize is not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. The prize cannot be transferred to any other person, unless agreed to by the Promoter. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner accepts the conditions of use of the prize.
19) If the prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
