Terms and Conditions
The Promoter is Backpacker Deals Pty Ltd whose registered office is at Level 1, Queen Street, Melbourne, 3000.
The competition is valid to those aged 18 years or over except employees of Backpacker Deals and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1. COMPETITION TIMES
The competition will commence on Wednesday 15th August 2018 at 12.00 am AEST and will conclude on the 10th October 2018 at 11.59pm AEST.
2. ENTRY
The competition will be run on Instagram. Backpacker Deals will post one Northern Territory (Top End or Red Centre) image.
To enter entrants must:
- Look for the image on Backpacker Deals Instagram Page.
- Repost the image with their best original caption on their own Instagram
- Tag @backpackerdeals and @ausoutbacknt and use hashtags #backpacktheoutback and #backpackerdeals in the post
- Follow @backpackerdeals and @ausoutbacknt on Instagram
- Follow @backpackerdeals and @northernterritoryaustralia on Facebook.
Entrants must like and follow Backpacker Deals and Tourism NT on both Instagram and Facebook. Those who do not do so will not be eligible for the prize.
Winner will be chosen based on the best caption posted during the competition time.
An entrant may only enter the competition once. Anyone creating multiple entries will be ineligible to win.
3. PRIZE
Winner will receive:
- return flights for 2 people from SYD, MEL, BNE, CNS, ADL, and PER to Darwin or Alice Springs only. To the value of up to $1,200 per person.
- A 3 day, 2-night tours to the Top End or Red Centre, for 2 people valued at approx. $585 pp. Sponsered by Wayoutback Australia Safaris.

4. PRIZE CONDITIONS
The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.
Flights must be redeemed before 30 June 2019.
They are not refundable & cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-transferable. Flights may also be subject to blackout periods and availability.

5. DRAW
Winners will be chosen by the Promoter at Level 1 Queen Street, Melbourne, 3000 on Thursday 10th October 2018.
Winner will be notified via social media by 12.00pm Friday 11th October 2018.
Winner will be chosen based on caption quality. Each caption will be individually judged based on its creative merit.
This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners. All captions will be judged individually on their merits based on the originality and creativity of their entry.
Prize must be claimed by the dates specified in section 4.
The Promoter will notify the winner when and how the prize can be redeemed.
Any and all costs associated with collecting the prize (including but not limited to airfares, transport, accommodation and meals) are the sole responsibility of the winner.
The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. UNCLAIMED PRIZE
If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and select a replacement winner.
Any replacement winner will be selected through the same means as outlined in this section and in the same location as the original judging is held.
7. CANCELLATION OR CHANGE OF THE PROMOTION
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s control.
Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the Promoter.
8. COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION
The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry.
Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current AUS data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
Entrants may obtain a copy of the Promoter's privacy policy by emailing the Promoter at support@backpackerdeals.com during office hours.
9. LIABILITY
The Promoter will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained, as a result of you participating in this Promotion or accepting a Prize(s), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
10. OTHER CONDITIONS
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram or its partners or application developers.
By entering this Promotion, to the maximum extent permitted by law, you release Instagram from any claim, action, damage, loss, liability, cost or expense which you may incur arising from, or in connection with, your entry in this Promotion.
