Information on how to enter Promotion forms part of the Terms and Conditions of entry.
Entry is open to all Australian residents aged 18 years and over.
Entrants can enter the Promotion on the Promotion page at [INSERT ADDRESS] by:
entering their name and email address
Agreeing to these terms and conditions including opting in to receive promotional and marketing materials from Val Morgan; and
answering in 25 words or less the question: "would you side with Team Sonic or Dr. Robotnik in the Sonic universe and why?"
Entrants may enter the Promotion as many times as they like. All entries must be original and must not infringe the rights of any third party or contain any objectionable content.
No scripting is allowed for online entries and if reasonably suspected by the Promoter these entries will be deemed invalid.
By entering the Promotion, each entrant agrees that if they win the Promotion, they will make themselves available to participate in reasonable promotional activities as requested by the Promoter, without any payment or other compensation.
Promotion dates
The Promotion commences and entries will be received from 12:01am AEDT on 06/01/2020 and the Promotion concludes at 11:59pm AEDT on 22/02/2020 ('Promotional Period)'.
The winner of the Promotion will be determined by the judge at 12:00pm AEDT on 24/02/2020.
Prize
There is (1) Major Prize consisting of:
- 2 x economy class flights from nearest Australian international airport to Los Angeles – including taxes and luggage to coincide with the E3 Expo 2020 (all travel must be completed by 30 June 2020).
- Return Private airport transfers from LAX airport to Los Angeles hotel – for 2 people
- 4 nights Los Angeles accommodation in a minimum 4*, based on twin share.
- 3-day Gamer Badges for E3 Expo 2020 at the Los Angeles Convention Centre – for 2 people
The total estimated prize package value is $7,000. The value of the Prize is the estimated retail value as provided by the supplier and is subject to change at any time. Any change between the publishing date and the date the Prize is claimed is not the responsibility of the Promoter.
The Major Prize (Prize) must be taken as stated and cannot be varied. The Prize of any unused portion of the Prize:
o is non transferrable;
o is non-refundable;
o is non-negotiable;
o cannot be exchanged;
o cannot be taken or redeemed as cash; and
o cannot be sold.
If the Prize or portion of the Prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a prize of equal or greater value.
The Promoter takes no responsibility for Prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit. The Promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any loss or damage suffered in association with the Prize or in the event that there are any changes to the Prize.
The Prize winner and their guest must travel on the same flights and itinerary. Changes and cancellations to a booking may be subject to fees. Frequent flyer miles and points cannot be accrued on this Prize.
Spending money, meals, taxes, insurance, passports, visas, vaccinations, excess baggage charges, transport to and from any departure points, transfers, items of a personal nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs are not included (unless specifically stated).
Prize selection
Winners are selected using the following method:
One (1) Major Prize winner (Winner) will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter. The Major Prize winner will be the entry which fulfils the entry criteria and whose answer is judged the most creative and original from all entries received.
This is a game of skill. There is no element of chance in the judging of the competition or determination of the winners. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The judging will take place at 12:00pm AEDT on 24/02/2020 at the offices of the Promoter at Level 50, 680 George Street SYDNEY NSW 2000.
The Winners will be notified within 48 hours of being selected via email.
All Prizes must be claimed by 12:00pm AEDT 26/02/2020
Unclaimed prizes
In the event that any of the Winners are unable to redeem any component of the Prize by the date stipulated by the Promoter above, then the Prize will be forfeited by that Winner and neither cash nor another prize will be awarded in lieu of the forfeited component/s of the Prize.
6. Excluded entrants
Employees, directors and officers of the Promoter, a related body corporate of the Promoter or an agency or entity associated with the Promotion are ineligible to enter the Promotion. Immediate family members of any employee, director or officer described above are also ineligible to enter the Promotion. Immediate family members for the purposes of this condition are spouses, de facto spouses, parents, natural or adopted children and siblings {whether natural or adopted by a parent).
7. Ineligible entries
The following entries are ineligible:
o entries by an excluded entrant described above in clause 6;
o entries that are deemed to be illegible or incomprehensible by the Promoter or are otherwise unable to be viewed;
o entries by a person who fails to provide the information required by these terms and conditions within the required time-frame;
o entries that are deemed to be offensive or illegal by the Promoter; and
o entries not completed in accordance with these terms and conditions.
8. Promoter's liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fandom, the Promoter, their related bodies corporate and each of their officers, employees, directors and contractors are not liable for any injury, loss, damage, expense, tax consequence, cost or claim whatsoever {including for any indirect or consequential loss) that arises in connection with entry into this Promotion or the claiming of any prize, including without limitation:
o in connection with the judging;
o in the participation in or use of any Prize; as a result of any changes to the Prize;
o as a result of the late, lost or misdirected email, website communication, mail or delivery;
o as a result of any technical malfunction, traffic congestion or the malfunction of any telephone network or lines or mobile communications network; and
o arising from any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, their related bodies corporate or any of their officers, directors, employees or contractors in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the Winners and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the Winner/s.
Fandom and the Promoter make no express representation or warranty as to the fitness for purpose, quality, suitability and merchantability of any of the goods or services offered as Prizes. If liability under terms implied by legislation cannot be excluded, the liability of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate is limited to re-supplying the relevant goods or services or paying the cost of replacing them.
By entering the Promotion, and by collecting the Prize, the winner acknowledges and accepts that travel and any other activities comprising the Prize have inherent risks and may result in death. Injury, incapacity, damage to property or other losses. It is the Prize winner’s responsibility to enquire about local issues and conditions at destinations prior to travel.
Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the Prize winner and guest. All travel will be subject to the carrier’s General Conditions of Carriage. The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that many exist at any destination. International travel advice can be obtained from various sources, including local government, local consular offices and the web site of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade at www.smarttraveller.gov.au .
Entry to any events included in the Prize will be subject to the usual terms and conditions of entry of the event.
