They are not so well known in Australia but that is changing, and here’s why… Turkish Towels are made from hand-loomed, untreated Turkish cotton from the ancient town of Buldan in the valleys of the inner Aegean region of south western Turkey. Ottoman records from the 1600’s referred to the town’s pre-eminence in the textile trade. This expertise continues today and TurkishMurkish towels are the work of the descendants of these original artisans. They are the perfect towel. They weigh about a third as much as a normal bath-towel. They don’t pick up and retain sand like a beach towel and they don’t take forever to dry. As a towel for the beach, bath or gym they are the best in class.
