Competition Period 12.01am (AEDT) on 03/03/14 to 11.59pm (AEST) on 09/04/14.
Entry Method
_During the Competition Period, entrants must: purchase a carton (24 x 375ml bottles/cans or 30 x 375ml cans) of Victoria Bitter beer (Eligible Purchase) for off premise consumption from any participating liquor outlet (Outlet);
_Watch the Channel 9 broadcast (which will be aired at a time advertised by Channel 9 in each State/Territory) of the ‘Friday Night Footy’ NRL game to obtain the weekly code word; and
_Visit www.victoriabitter.com.au (Website) and fully complete and submit the online entry form, including by providing the last 5 digits of the Eligible Purchase product’s barcode, the relevant weekly code word, and any additional information as required by the Promoter.
Bonus Entries Bonus entries may be offered by the Promoter throughout the Competition Period at its discretion. An entrant will automatically receive one bonus entry into the competition if, at the time of entering the competition in accordance with the Entry Method section of these conditions, they enter a valid bonus entry code. The bonus entry code will expire on the date specified by the Promoter.
There is a limit of one bonus entry per bonus entry code, per person.
Draw Details There will be 5 draws conducted. The draws will take place at 12.00pm (AEDT/AEST, as applicable) at Prime Focus, 403/62 Beach Street, Port Melbourne VIC 3207, as follows:
Draw 1: 13/03/14 (for entries received between the start of the Competition Period until 11.59pm (AEDT) on 12/03/14);
Draw 2: 20/03/14 (for entries received between 12.00am (AEDT) on 13/03/14 until 11.59pm (AEDT) on 19/03/14);
Draw 3: 27/03/14 (for entries received between 12.00am (AEDT) on 20/03/14 until 11.59pm (AEDT) on 26/03/14);
Draw 4: 03/04/14 (for entries received between 12.00am (AEDT) on 27/03/14 until 11.59pm (AEDT) on 02/04/14);
Draw 5: 10/04/14 (for entries received between 12.00am (AEDT) on 03/04/14 until the end of the Competition Period).
Prize Details
There are 15 prizes to be won in total, with three prizes to be won in each draw.
Each prize is a ‘Friday Night Footy’ pack valued at $4,588 (inc GST) which consists of a Samsung 55 inch HD / 3D smart TV (model number: UA55ES7500MXXY) valued at $2,999 (inc GST), a LG 3D Blu-Ray surround sound system (model number: BH9530TW) valued at $749 (inc GST), a VB branded vending machine valued at $750 (inc GST) and 2 cases of Victoria Bitter beer valued at $90 (inc GST).
In the event that any winner(s) are NSW residents, they will not receive the 2 cases of Victoria Bitter beer and will receive a $90 EFTPOS card in place of this element of the prize. Limit of one prize per household (except for SA residents).
Prize Pool The total prize pool is valued at $68,820 (inc GST).
Entry Limits Entrants may enter as many times as they wish, provided that each entry (other than a bonus entry) is based on a separate Eligible Purchase.
Retain Receipt Requirements Entrants must retain their original receipt to verify each entry.
Winner Notification and Publication The winners will be notified by phone and in writing within two days of the relevant draw and their name and state/territory of residence will be published on the Website on 25/03/14, 08/04/14 and 22/04/14 for a period of 28 days.
Prize Claim Date and Time Prizes must be claimed by 11.59pm (AEST) on 15/07/14.
Unclaimed Prize Draw Details 12.00pm (AEST) on 22/07/14 at the same location as the original draw.
Unclaimed Prize Draw Winner Notification and Publication Any winner(s) in the Unclaimed Prize Draw will be notified by phone and in writing within two days of the Unclaimed Prize Draw and their name and state/territory of residence will be published on the Website on 05/08/14 for a period of 28 days.

The competition will be conducted during the Competition Period.
Each entrant will receive a return online notification confirming their successful entry into the competition. By entering this competition, entrants consent to receiving this electronic message.
Entries must be received during the Competition Period. Entries are deemed to be received at the time they are received by the Promoter’s database and not at the time of submission by the entrant. Failure of an entrant to provide their original receipt(s) (as per the Retain Receipt Requirements) (without alteration) to the Promoter upon request may, at the Promoter’s discretion, result in an invalid entry (and, at the Promoter’s discretion, in all of the entrant’s entries being invalid). The Promoter is not liable for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence due to error, omission, tampering, deletion, theft, communications failure or otherwise. The Promoter has no control over communications networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter is not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) costs incurred. Entrants who enter using multiple email addresses or aliases may be disqualified. Consumers are responsible for their own costs associated with accessing the Internet. Automatically generated entries will not be accepted.
The draws will be conducted at the time, dates and location as stated in the Draw Details. The first three valid entries randomly drawn in each draw from all valid entries received during the relevant entry period (as set out in the Draw Details section of these conditions) (excluding previous winning entries) will win a prize. Entries received in respect of each draw will not roll over to subsequent draws.
The prizes are as stated in the Prize Details.
The EFTPOS cards can be used for purchases anywhere in Australia where EFTPOS is accepted, at each merchant’s discretion. The EFTPOS cards are subject to conditions of use as imposed by the prize supplier, including periods of validity.
The winners will be notified in accordance with the Winner Notification and Publication. By entering this competition, each entrant requests that his or her full address not be published.
The winners must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of any prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name, state/territory of residence and image in promotional material and in any broadcast relating to the promotion.
The Promoter may require winners to provide proof of identity, proof of age and proof of residency at their nominated delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion.
If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these conditions of entry, the entry will be discarded and a new winner of that prize will be determined by drawing a further valid entry in accordance with paragraph 5.
The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this competition by, any person who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the competition or acts in violation of these conditions, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent or effect of annoying, abusing, threatening or harassing any other person or behaves in a manner which may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related bodies corporate or the agencies or companies associated with this competition, is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. If a prize or any element of a prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute for that prize or element of that prize another item of equal or higher value as determined by the Promoter, subject to the approval of the relevant gaming authorities if required.
If a prize has not been accepted or claimed in accordance with the Prize Claim Date and Time, the relevant winner’s entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter will conduct such further draws in accordance with the Unclaimed Prize Draw Details as are necessary to distribute the relevant prize(s), subject to any requirements of the relevant gaming authorities. All entries received during the Competition Period will be combined for the purposes of this draw. Any winner(s) in this draw will be notified as stated in the Unclaimed Prize Draw Winner Notification.
The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law). Nothing in these conditions restricts, excludes or modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage, loss or delay in transit to prizes. Delivery in Australia only.
The Promoter may communicate or advertise this competition using Facebook. However, the competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Entrants are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. Each entrant completely releases Facebook from any and all liability.
If for any reason any aspect of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of the relevant gaming authorities if required.
The Promoter is not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. Where this competition involves, for GST purposes, supplies being made for non-monetary consideration, entrants will follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
The Promoter encourages consumers to enjoy alcohol responsibly. Legal aged consumers are advised to consider the safe drinking levels recommended in the National Health and Medical Research Council Australian Guidelines to Reduce Health Risks from Drinking Alcohol. Entry and continued participation in this competition is subject to each Outlet’s liquor serving policy.
All entries will be the property of the Promoter. The information entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this competition. The Promoter may collect entrants’ personal information (including through its contractors or agents) or disclose entrants’ personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this competition or communicating with entrants. By entering this competition, entrants consent to the storage of their personal information on the Promoter’s database and the Promoter may use this information for future competition and marketing purposes regarding its products, including contacting the entrant via electronic messaging. By entering this competition, entrants consent to receiving SMS or email messages from the Promoter that do not contain any functional unsubscribe facility. The Promoter is bound by the Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Entrants can request access to the personal information the Promoter holds about them by contacting the Promoter at the address stated in the Promoter section of these conditions. (a) how entrants can seek access to the personal information the Promoter holds about them and seek the correction of such information;
(b) how entrants can complain about a privacy breach and how the Promoter will deal with such a complaint; and
(c) whether entrants’ personal information the Promoter holds about them will be provided to overseas companies, and if so, which countries those companies are located.
