By entering the WINX’S LAST RACE COX PLATE VIP EXPERIENCE GIVEAWAY Competition (“the Competition”),
you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.
2. WHO CAN ENTER
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open to all residents of the Melbourne Metropolitan area who are 18 years of
age or older, and are able to attend the Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day on Saturday 27 October 2018 .
2.2 Employees and their immediate families of the Seven Network (Operations) Limited, Mooney Valley Racing
Club and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 The Competition commences on Sunday 21 October 2018 at 18:00 (AEDT) and concludes on Tuesday 23
October 2018 at 23:59 (AEDT) (“the Competition Period”).
3.2 In order to enter the Competition, viewers must watch 7 Melbourne’s Nightly News from 18:00 (AEDT) to
19:00 (AEDT) during the Competition Period, where there will be a Competition segment aired.
3.3 In order to enter the draw, viewers must visit 7NewsMelbourne.com.au to enter their name, full address and
daytime contact telephone number (including STD area code) and Nightly Codeword corresponding with the
Entry Periods in Clause 3.6.
3.4 All entrants in the Competition may enter as many times as they like, however, entrants can win only one (1)
prize.
3.5 The eligible Entry Period for each prize will commence and conclude in accordance with the table below. The
Codeword supplied by the Entrant as part of their entry must correspond with the Entry Periods, in order for
the entry to be valid.

any suburb within a 50 km radius of Melbourne CBD.

Total maximum value for all prize packages is up to $5,610 [TBC]. Prize value is correct as at the date of
printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate date
on which the prize is taken.
4.3 In conjunction with clause 4.2, prize winners must abide by the following conditions:
a. In accepting either the major or runner-up prize, the winners agree to participate in and co-operate with
all reasonable media editorial requests, including but not limited to, being interviewed and
photographed, and the winners grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such
footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners will not be entitled to any fee for such
use.
b. The winners agree they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media
or other organisation.
c. The winner and companion must be over 18 years of age to participate in the prize and must be able to
attend the Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day on Saturday 27 October 2018.
d. The winner and their companion are responsible for all costs associated with taking the prize that are
not specifically listed in clause 4.2, such as travel and accommodation if necessary, as well as spending
money, meals, drinks, all ground transfers and any other incidentals.
e. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winners must comply with all the conditions of use of the
prize and prize supplier’s requirements detailed in clause 4.3.
f. The winner and companion must comply with all conditions of Microflite’s helicopter flight policy.
Flights and costs are subject to confirmed accurate passenger and baggage weights. Check-in time is 15
minutes prior to departure time to ensure delays are limited. Flight may be forfeited if winner and
companion arrive later than agreed departure time. Flight is subject to weather on the day, visit

g. The winner and companion must comply with all conditions of The Westin’s hotel policy. 9am check in
on Saturday 27 October 2018, credit card will need to be supplied on arrival for incidentals. The hotel
stay is non-transferrable and cannot be redeemed for another date or cash.
h. Provision of the hair and make-up prize is subject to the reasonable discretion of the Hair and Make Up
Artist and must not exceed 1 hour in total. If this aspect of prize not required, please notify the
promoter via email by COB Thursday 18 October 2018.
i. Photo opportunity subject to availability on the day and at the discretion of the Prize Sponsor.
j. Westfield vouchers valid for term specified on card. Further terms and conditions can be found on
Westfield website.
k. Uber transport valid only for this event, to and from Mooney Valley Racecourse.
l. The prizes detailed in clause 4.2 are not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash
or other goods or services and cannot be taken in parts.
m. The VIP experience giveaway for the 2018 Ladbrokes Cox Plate is for the date specified in clause 2.1. If
for any reason a winner does not take the prize at the time stipulated, the prize will be forfeited and will
not be redeemable for cash.
n. The prize must be collected by the winners from Channel Seven Melbourne located at 160 Harbour
Esplanade Docklands, Melbourne, Victoria, 3008. Prize winners must provide full identification to collect
their prize.
4.4 In the event that an element of a travel, event, concert or other similar prize outlined in Clause 4.2 above is,
for any reason, cancelled, postponed or not available, that element(s) of the prize will be considered as
forfeited and no cash alternative offer will be granted in lieu of the part of the prize.
4.5 It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize
and prize supplier’s requirements. Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if
a winner is unable to use any element of the prize for any reason.
4.6 Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the prize.

5. HOW TO WIN
5.1 There will be 1 (one) major prize winner and two (2) runner-up prize winners drawn on Wednesday 24
October 2018 at 9.30 am AEDT from the pool of competition entrants during the Competition Period.
Each entrant who has entered the Competition in accordance with these terms and conditions during the
Competition Period by entering all required details at 7NewsMelbourne.com.au by Tuesday 23 October 2018
at 23:59 (AEDT) (“Qualifying Entrant”) will be entered into the draw. Entries that do not comply with any of
the requirements of these Terms and Conditions may be deemed invalid at the Promoter’s sole discretion.
5.2 All prize winner draws will take place at Seven Network (Operations) Limited – 160 Harbour Esplanade,
Docklands VIC 3008 on the date and time detailed in clause 3.5.
5.4 Major and minor winners will be will be notified by a congratulatory email and subsequent phone call by the
Promoter within two business days from the draw.
5.5 The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
5.6 It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner (and any companions) may be required to sign a legal
release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
5.7 The Promoter may in its absolute discretion deem entries invalid on the basis of not complying with these
Terms and Conditions at any time, including subsequent to a winner being notified or a winner’s name being
announced. In these circumstances, an additional draw may be conducted, at the Promoter’s sole discretion.
5.8 Subject to state government legislation, and if required, an unclaimed prize draw will take place on Thursday
25 October 2018 at the address detailed in clause 5.2.
6. NO LIABILITY
6.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the
Promoter’s ability to proceed with the Competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms
and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of
God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the
Competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to state government
legislation.
6.2 Seven Network (Operations) Limited, Mooney Valley Racing Club and their associated agencies and
companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
6.3 Seven Network (Operations) Limited, Mooney Valley Racing Club and their associated agencies and
companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to
consequential loss) or claim that may occur:
a) during the entry process or the draw;
b) in the acceptance, participation or use of any element(s) of the prize;
c) as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
d) due to the broadcast of any program relating to the Competition or the publication of any material,
including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other
person;
e) in relation to failure of an SMS entry message to be received by the Promoter on account of technical
problems or traffic congestion; or
f) arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines or
mobile communications network related to or resulting from participation in this promotion.
6.4 Seven Network (Operations) Limited assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion,
defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized
access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available, subject to
state government legislation.
6.5 If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including but not
limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the
control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper
conduct of the Competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual
who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify
or suspend the Competition, subject to state government legislation.
6.6 By entering the competition, and by participating in a prize, the prize winner acknowledges and accepts that
driving, travel and any other activities comprising the prize, are inherently dangerous and may result in death,
injury, incapacity, damage to property or other losses. Neither the Promoter is not responsible for any acts of
god, such as adverse weather conditions or industrial action or civil commotion that may occur whilst the
prize winner is travelling. It is the responsibility of the prize-winner to enquire about local issues and
conditions at destinations prior to travel.

and promoting this Competition, including for the purpose of identifying and notifying winners and
understanding our audiences. Seven will otherwise handle your personal information in accordance with

information regarding how you can access your personal information, correct it and/ or make a complaint
about our handling of your personal information). By providing your personal information below, you agree
