1. By participating in the Broadsheet x Airbnb competition (Promotion), each participant fully and
unconditionally agrees and acknowledges that these terms and conditions are binding. "Airbnb"
means Airbnb Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 96 153 841 493)
2. The promoter is Broadsheet, trading as Broadsheet Media Pty Ltd, ABN 20 131 593 201 of Level
1, 231 Smith Street, Fitzroy, VIC 3065 (Promoter).
3. The Promotion commences at 11:00 (AEST) on Monday 25 November 2019 and closes at
14:00 (AEST) on Wednesday 16 January 2020 (Promotion Period).
4. Entry is open to Australian residents only who are over 18 years of age, however the main driver
of the hire car must be an Australian resident who is over 25 years of age.
How to Enter
1. To enter this Promotion you must complete the application form including your first name, last
name, email address, post code and answer to the Promotional Question: “In 25 words or less, tell us
who would you take with you to regional Tasmania and why."
2. Content submitted as part of the Promotion must be your original work, must not have been
previously published, and must not violate the rights of any other party, including but not limited
to intellectual property rights or rights of privacy, publicity, or moral rights. Entries must not
contain: (i) endorsement or promotion of illegal or harmful activity; (ii) violent, profane, vulgar,
obscene, defamatory or otherwise objectionable material; (iii) adult material; or (iv) defamatory
content. The Promoter may disqualify any participant who violates these prohibitions or any
other provision of these terms, or whose content the Promoter or Airbnb in its discretion deems
inappropriate for any reasons.
3. This is a game of skill, and chance plays no part. The Promoter’s decision is final and no
correspondence will be entered into with entrants. The winner will be selected based on the
originality, persuasiveness and quality of the winner's answer.
4. Multiple entries are not permitted.
5. Entrants can only enter in their own name. The use of automatic entry software, mechanical or
electronic devices that allows an individual to automatically enter the competition is prohibited
and may render all entries submitted by that individual invalid.
6. Employees of the Promoter, immediate family members of any employee, and any associated
company or agency of the Promotion are not eligible to enter. Airbnb's directors, officers,
employees, independent contractors, advertisers and agents, including those of subsidiaries or
affiliates ("Released Parties") and the members of their immediate families or households
(including without limitation spouse, their partner, housemates, children, parents, siblings,
grandparents, and grandchildren) are not eligible to participant in this Promotion.
7. Entries not completed in accordance with these terms and conditions are void. Entries will be
deemed void if stolen, forged, mutilated or tampered with in any way.
Draw and Prizes
8. Judging for the prize will take place at Level 1, 231 Smith Street, Fitzroy, VIC 3065
at 12:00 (AEDT) on Monday 21 January 2020.
9. One (1) winner will receive a weekend for two (2) people, which comprises strictly and only the
following. No other benefits, services or forms of hospitality whatsoever will be provided except
those expressly stated below:
a. Return flights for two (2) people departing your nearest capital airport, and arriving in
Launceston, Tasmania to the value of $300 per person (return).
b. One (1) x compact car hire from Friday 21 February 2020, until Sunday 23 February
2020, subject to the following:
i. Driver must be over 25 years of age;
ii. Driver must hold a current Australian Drivers’ licence;
iii. Driver must purchase, obtain and cover insurance of car themselves;
iv. The driver is fully responsible for any damage to the car; and
v. The full car hire terms and conditions applicable are published at:

vi. If the winner does not meet the above requirements, the promoter has the
right to select a new winner.
c. One (1) nights’ accommodation at The Bischoff Hotel in Waratah for two (2) people,
check in on Friday 21 February 2020 and check out on Saturday 22 February 2020,
comprising:
i. One (1) nights’ accommodation for two (2) people on Friday 21 February
2020; and
ii. One (1) breakfast for two (2) people on Saturday 22 February 2020.
d. One (1) lunch for two (2) people at Hellyers Road Distillery, comprising:
i. Lunch for two (2) people on Saturday 22 February 2020, to the total value of
$120; and
ii. Whisky walk tour for two (2) people at either 11.30am or 2.00pm on Saturday
22 February 2020.
e. One (1) nights’ accommodation at Forth River Cottage-Bed and Breakfast by the river
for two (2) people, check in on Saturday 22 February 2020 and check out on Sunday 23
February 2020, comprising:
i. One (1) nights’ accommodation for two (2) people on Saturday 22 February
2020; and
ii. One (1) breakfast hamper for two (2) people on Sunday 23 February 2020.
f. One (1) dinner for two (2) people at Mrs Jones Restaurant Bar Lounge on Saturday 22
February 2020, to the value of $150.
10. The winner of this competition must have an Airbnb account.
11. The winner of this competition will be notified via email to their nominated email address
by 18.00 (AEST) Tuesday 21 January 2020. In this email the winner will be sent instructions to
redeem their prize.
12. The total value of the prize pool is approximately $1,200. The difference (if any) between the
actual and approximate total value of the prize pool will not be paid or otherwise compensated to
the winner.
13. This prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, cannot be sold, exchanged for cash.
14. If the winner cannot be contacted, the Promoter has the right to select a new winner.
Unforeseen or changed circumstances impacting the winner’s ability or availability to use
the prize will not entitle the winner to any compensation, alternatives, replacements or
cash payments.
15. The Promoter reserves the right to alter the terms of this Promotion (including any prizes) at any
time. The Promoter in its discretion and at any time may terminate this Promotion or disqualify
any person (including any winner) from participating in this Promotion.
16. Winners agree they shall not by any act or omission do anything that may bring the Promoter,
Airbnb or any of their partners or prize suppliers into disrepute.
