Win dinner & passes to see Bangarra Dance Theatre - Bangarra Dance Theatre is one of Australia’s top performing arts companies, combining 40,000 years of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture with contemporary dance. The company, now in its 28th year, will on August 25 bring to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre its stunning new, full-length performance, Bennelong. Broadsheet, in partnership with Bangarra and ARIA, is giving away four premium tickets to see the live performance, followed by a three-course dinner for four people with matched wines at one of Brisbane’s best fine dining restaurants, ARIA Brisbane. It will be a distinctly Australian evening. Artistic director Stephen Page’s Bennelong focuses on the history of Woollarawarre Bennelong, a senior man of the Eora people and the first Aboriginal person to travel to Europe and return to Australia. It poses confronting questions about the dialogue between European and Aboriginal people. Senior dancer Beau Dean Riley Smith, the man entrusted with bringing Bennelong’s story to life, has taken on his first lead role. Smith poured hours of research into his character and it shows in a seamless re-telling. The competition is open from August 7 until August 18. BROADSHEET BRISBANE x BANGARRA BENNELONG COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS General 1. By participating in the Broadsheet x Bangarra Bennelong competition (Promotion), each participant fully and unconditionally agrees and acknowledges that these terms and conditions are binding. 2. Judging for the prize will take place at Level 1, 231 Smith St Fitzroy, VIC 3065 at 17.00 (AEST) on Friday 18 August 2017. 12. One (1) winner will receive: - 4 x premium tickets to Bangarra Theatre’s performance of Bennelong at QPAC. Total value = $276 - Dinner for 4 at ARIA. Prize includes 4 x three-course dinners with matched wines. Total value = $800 13. Total prize pool value is at approximately $1,076 including GST. 14. Winners of this competition will be notified via email to their nominated email address by 18.00 (AEST) on Friday 18 August 2017. 15. In this email the winner will be sent instructions to redeem their prize and if unclaimed by Wednesday 23 August 2017, a new winner will be drawn 16. This prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, cannot be sold, exchanged for cash. 17. If the winner cannot be contacted, the Promoter has the right to select new a new winner. 18.
