Win double pass to an exclusive Maker’s Mark sensory experience - Maker’s Mark is launching its first immersive pop-up experience – The Maker’s by Maker’s Mark – in suburban Alexandria, Sydney. Sydneysiders will be taken on the journey of Maker’s Mark, from field to bottle, as it’s experienced in the distillery. Whiskey enthusiasts will experience four masterclasses that bring to life the essence of the handcrafted bourbon, known as the 4Ws: wheat, water, wood and wax. During the 75-minute hands-on session, expert craftsmen will guide guests these four inspirational masterclasses. Each workshop will be accompanied by a taste testing of the Maker’s Mark portfolio. Water: Guests will be guided by a master bartender through the exacting process of ice stamping Wood: Expert cooper with over 30 years of experience of creating oak barrels will demonstrate how oak imparts tasting notes to the bourbon inside Wheat: Attendees will learn the art of kneading bread with baker William Peterson from Infinity Bakery and experience a ‘nose and taste test’ to distinguish different styles Wax: A demonstration of the Maker’s Mark signature wax hand-dipping process that is used to finish every bottle of Maker’s Mark will be conducted by a Maker’s Mark ambassador The sensory evening will be rounded off with an after-party where guests will get to sip signature Maker’s Mark cocktails prepared by Sydney’s finest bartenders and graze on a cheese and charcuterie board while listening to the in-house DJ. To be part of this exclusive experience, whiskey enthusiasts must enter to win a double pass ticket for themselves and a lucky friend. The event will be held on Saturday 23 June and winners will be able to choose the session time they wish to attend.
