How can one enter the competition?
To enter the competition, participants must create a unique festive artwork that demonstrates what Christmas in the Hunter means to them. The artwork must be produced using traditional media such as pastels, oil pastels, pens, pencils, textas, charcoal, acrylics, watercolours, oil paints, mixed media, collage, or other non-digital materials. Digital artworks are not eligible. The completed artwork can be photographed or scanned and emailed to drawing@austcommunitymedia.com.au. Each entry must be sponsored by an adult and include the sponsor’s full name, email address, postcode, and phone number, as well as the child artist's full name, age, and suburb.

What are the prizes and total prize pool amount?
The winning entries in each age category will receive a $50 gift voucher. Additionally, the winning artworks will be featured in the print edition of the Newcastle Herald and online at newcastleherald.com.au. There are four age categories: 5-7 years, 8-11 years, 12-14 years, and 15-18 years. With each category offering a $50 gift voucher, the total prize pool amounts to $200.
