Jan Power’s iconic Farmers Markets give us the opportunity to do just this. Every week the bustling open-air farmers markets come to Brisbane City, Brisbane Powerhouse in New Farm, Manly and Mitchelton, with more than 300 growers sharing their homegrown and homemade wares. We’re certainly spoiled when it comes to all that this iconic market offers. With a mouth-watering range of local produce – including fresh pasta, artisan bread, organic fruits and vegetables, olives, spices, oils, honey, ginger beer, curry powders, locally caught seafood, free-range meats, delicious smoothies and French delicacies – each week is truly a celebration of the talents of local producers and gourmet artisans who bring us the best finds from our thriving area. After a short hiatus over Christmas to give farmers and producers a well-earned break, all four of the Jan Power’s markets will soon be back with a flurry of colour, flavour and unbeatable freshness. Powerhouse and Manly will return this Saturday January 20, with the mid-week city markets following next Wednesday January 31. Mitchelton locals, your markets will recommence on Sunday February 4. To celebrate the return of the iconic markets, The Weekend Edition is giving you the chance to win a $100 shopping spree at the Jan Power’s Farmers Markets every month until June.
