How do I enter the promotion?
Entrants must buy at least one copy of a Relevant Newspaper during the promotion period (February 26, 2023, to March 11, 2023) or be a paying digital subscriber to a Relevant Newspaper on at least one day during the promotion period. Entrants must then find the daily codeword published in the paper, visit the promotion website at winwithnews.com.au, and complete the online entry form using the correct daily codeword.
What are Relevant Newspapers?
Relevant Newspapers are hard copies or digital print editions of specific newspapers published in NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, NT, and TAS. These newspapers include The Daily Telegraph, The Saturday Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph, Herald Sun, Saturday Herald Sun, Sunday Herald Sun, Geelong Advertiser, The Courier-Mail, The Saturday Courier-Mail, The Sunday Mail, Gold Coast Bulletin, Cairns Post, Townsville Bulletin, Toowoomba Chronicle, The Advertiser, Sunday Mail, NT News, Sunday Territorian, The Mercury, and Sunday Tasmanian.
How many times can I enter the promotion?
Entrants can enter up to once per day during the promotion period (which means up to 14 times), using the daily codeword published in the paper on the day of entering.
What are the prizes?
There is one major prize of a chance to select one out of 100 envelopes where one envelope delivers a $1,000,000 prize. If the major prize winner does not select the $1,000,000, they will be awarded a $2,000 cash prize. There are also 56 minor prizes of $1,000 cash each.
What is the total prize pool?
The total prize pool is valued up to $1,057,250.
When is the prize draw?
The prize draw will be held on March 14, 2023, at 12:00 pm AEST at Handling Matters, Unit 40, 1-5 Thew Parade, Cromer NSW 2099.
How will the winner be chosen?
The winner will be chosen by Handling Matters by random computer selection. The first valid entry drawn will win the opportunity to play a contingency game for the chance to win $1,000,000, awarded in the form of an EFT. If the winner of the contingency game does not select the $1,000,000, they will be awarded a consolation prize of $2,000 in the form of an EFT.
