From Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, the acclaimed directors of LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, their latest creation RUBY SPARKS is original, whimsical, funny and fantastical.
The film's main character Calvin (Paul Dano) is a young novelist who achieved phenomenal success early in his career but is now struggling with writer's block - as well as his romantic life. Disappointed and unfulfilled, his only close relationships are with his dog and his brother.
Finally he makes a breakthrough in his writing and creates a character named Ruby who inspires him. When Calvin finds Ruby (Zoe Kazan), in the flesh, sitting on his couch about a week later, he is completely flabbergasted that his words have turned into a living, breathing person.
Beautifully written with superb acting, Ruby Sparks, in cinemas from September 20, is not to be missed!
