Adventure Australia Treks + Tours (AATT) host tours of Australia’s most rugged, raw and remote touring destinations, and their Fraser Island tour is one seriously life-changing adventure! The AATT tour includes flights from Brisbane across to the Orchid Beach Airstrip, and over five days and four nights, takes in many of the island’s most iconic sights, all the way up to the northernmost point of Sandy Cape, south along the east coast beaches, through the pristine lakes and forests of the island’s interior, and finally to the west coast’s famous Kingfisher Bay.
Highlights of the expedition include visits to Champagne Pools, Indian Head, Waddy Point, Marloo Bay, Nkgala Rocks, Sandy Cape, The Pinnacles, the Maheno Wreck, Eli Creek, Lake Wabby, Lake Birrabeen, Central Station and Pile Valley.
There are a raft of other tour operators that take tourists across to visit Fraser Island, but all other commercial operators only head as far as the Champagne Pools – AATT are the only tour operators permitted to take tourists to the remote far north of the island, and thus guarantee a complete island experience.
Air transfers between Brisbane and Fraser Island are via Air Fraser and all travel across the island is aboard air conditioned, current model LandCruisers. All meals are inclusive as well as accommodation at Orchid Beach, the Eurong Beach Resort and the Kingfisher Bay Resort. All entry fees, permits, meals, accommodation, airfares, ferry fees and transfer costs are included in the prize, valued at $6900 for two people.
