This Competition is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, legal residents of Australia, Canada (excluding residents of Quebec), the United Kingdom and Ireland, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry and who hold a Facebook account (the "Entrant"). By making a video entry submission you hereby release Sponsor, Administrator, and all of their respective affiliated entities, and all of their shareholders, officers, directors, employees, agents, attorneys, successors and assigns from any and all claims relating to your video entry submission, including without limitation, claims arising from the risk of misdirection or misdelivery of your video entry. Employees of Sponsor and each of its companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion/competition agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Competition (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”), and each of their immediate family members and/or people living in the same household are not eligible to participate. All eligibility is subject to all country, federal, state/province and local laws and regulations. All entries submitted are the property of the Sponsor. The Administrator’s database clock will be the timekeeper for this Competition. This Competition shall be void where prohibited by law or regulation.
PROMOTIONAL PERIOD:
The My TripAdvisor Discovery Competition (the “Competition”) entry period begins on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 10:00:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time ("EDT") and ends on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 11:59:59 p.m. EDT (the “Entry Period”). Public voting to determine the Grand Prize winner begins at 9:00:00 a.m. EDT on Thursday, October 1, 2015 and will end at 11:59:59 p.m. EDT on Sunday, October 11, 2015 (“Public Voting Period”). At the conclusion of the Public Voting Period, the entry with the greatest number of unique votes will be the Grand Prize winner. Grand Prize winning entry will be announced on or before Monday, November 9, 2015 on the Sponsor’s Facebook page
HOW TO ENTER:
Follow these easy steps to enter:
Facebook: A) You can either upload a video or share one from your Facebook account, B) complete the registration form, C) once the form is completed you will receive an entry pending message and D) your entry will then be reviewed for compliance and if approved it will be available for the voting process and will appear in the Sponsor’s Facebook tab “My TripAdvisor Discovery” during the Public Voting Period.
Entry Notes: Videos must be created for the sole purpose of this Competition (DO NOT COPY OTHERS’ WORKS, IN WHOLE OR IN PART. YOU MUST OTHERWISE COMPLY WITH THE CONTENT GUIDELINES BELOW AND OTHER TERMS HEREIN). All entries are subject to verification and approval by the Sponsor. Entries that do not meet the video requirements specified below or otherwise do not comply with the Official Rules herein may be disqualified. Any attempted form of entry other than as described herein is void. Sponsor will determine, in its sole discretion, what constitutes a valid entry. All materials submitted become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged.
PRIZE:
Only the prize listed below will be awarded in this Competition.
One (1) Grand Prize: Trip for two (2) to any one (1) of the destinations listed below as selected by the winner:
o Marrakech
o Siem reap
o Hanoi
o Istanbul
o Prague
Prize includes the following:
· Roundtrip economy air transportation for two (2) departing from an international hub airport in the winner’s country of residence (subject to availability). No stopovers longer than 12 hours allowed. Flight costs must not exceed a total of $4,900. Transfers to departing airport NOT included.
· Seven (7) nights’ (double occupancy) hotel accommodations at a TripAdvisor 2015 Travellers’ Choice award-winning Hotel (subject to availability) within the chosen destination. Maximum nightly room rate expenditure, for both travelers, must not exceed $400 USD. Any room class within these restrictions is permitted.
· Airport transfer to and from hotel at chosen destination.
· One (1) evening meal for two (2) at a TripAdvisor award winning Restaurant (subject to availability), not exceeding $300 USD.
· $300 Viator vouchers for use on tours and activities in chosen destination.
· $1,500 USD spending money. Prize awarded in the form of a check payable to winner in USD.
· Travel insurance for two for the round-trip included, up to a value of $200.
· Gratuities and incidentals not included.
The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
The prize does not include airport transfers within winner’s country of residence, other personal expenditure not detailed above or any other incidental costs not listed in the above prize description are not included.
Children and Infants under 12 years old are not eligible to travel.
The winner and guest must hold valid passports and obtain any necessary visas or vaccinations at their own expense prior to travel. Winner must have a valid major credit card to check-in to a hotel.
The winners may opt to purchase additional travel insurance at their own discretion and expense.
The winners are responsible for all other costs and expenses associated with and/or not specifically included in the prize.
The holiday must be taken before 30 April 2016, and winners should inform TripAdvisor of preferred travel dates at least 60 days in advance of those dates taking place.
Subject to receipt of necessary information from winner, TripAdvisor will arrange and book the flights, transfer, hotel and restaurant prize elements based on availability.
Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary and on the same dates. In the event the prize winner or his/her guest engages in behavior that, as determined by in its sole discretion, is obnoxious or threatening, illegal, or that is intended to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the experience in whole or in part, with no further compensation.
Total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of this prize package not to exceed $10,000 USD.
