Competition Terms and Conditions

When does the competition start and end?

The competition begins at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 10, 2023, and ends at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 24, 2023 (AEST).

How will the winner be selected?

The competition is a game of skill, and one (1) winner will be chosen by the Promoter based on the response to the question: "Tell us in 50 words or less, what is your favourite marine animal and why?" The winner will be notified via email on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.

Who is eligible to participate?

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over.

What is the prize and its value?

The winner will receive a prize package that includes:
- Four (4) Return Economy Class Flights to the Gold Coast (up to the value of $2000).
- Sea World Resort Stay for four (4) with accommodation subject to availability.
- Animal Adventure – Behind the Scenes at Sea World experience.
- Hot Air Ballooning experience.
- Tree Top Challenge experience.
- Stand Up Paddle Boarding Yoga experience.
- VIP Coastal City Experience provided by Sea World Helicopters.
The total value of the prize package is not specified.

Are there any restrictions for the prize?

The prize is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. The winner needs to provide a minimum 30 days' notice before travel. The prize cannot be extended, transferred, refunded, sold, or exchanged for cash. Travel insurance, as well as documentation required for travel, remains the responsibility of the winner. The winner must take the prize as offered and comply with standard booking terms and conditions.

How is personal information handled?

Entry is conditional upon providing personal information. The Promoter collects and handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

Can certain individuals or groups participate?

Team members from Village Roadshow Theme Parks and associated subsidiaries, Destination Gold Coast, and Sea World Helicopters are not eligible to enter or win the major prize.

Are there any additional terms and conditions for specific experiences?

Yes, each experience (Animal Adventure, Hot Air Ballooning, Tree Top Challenge, Stand Up Paddle Boarding Yoga, and VIP Coastal City Experience provided by Sea World Helicopters) has its own terms and conditions, including participant criteria, liability release forms, and cancellation policies. These terms and conditions can be found on their respective websites.

Can the promoter use the winner's name and photograph for publicity?

Yes, the promoter reserves the right to announce or publish the winner's name and/or photograph for publicity purposes in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration.

Are there any limitations on liability for the promoter?

The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered or personal injury sustained as a result of the prize, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law.
