Join Cathrine Summers' 5-piece swingin' jazz band and experience a night of music, dance and narrative full of the rich musical history of Paris in 30s & 40s. ‘A Summers’ Night in Paris’ is reminiscent of the fabled ‘Cabaret de Paris’ era. Summers' depicts the elegance and culture of this wonderful time in Paris through jazz, dance and burlesque coupled with her engaging storytelling and surrounded by vivid visual scenes of beautiful Paris. The UK-born artist spent much of her youth living and holidaying in France where she fostered and nurtured her love of the French language along with a deep appreciation of the countries passionate history and romanticism. You’ll hear songs such as Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong’s ‘April in Paris’ and Edith Piaf’s ‘La Vie En Rose’ along with many others. Cathrine Summers is acclaimed for her live performances and is one of Perth’s most engaging and charismatic vocalists. This playfully fun entertainer dishes up a treat of rich musical history woven through toe-tapping tunes of love, loss, remorse, and adventure.
